Description
Formula or GT, from one bracket
Side mount brackets for fibreglass bucket seats, with enough adjustment to switch the shell between a formula and a GT seating position. The seat hangs between the two brackets rather than sitting on top of them, which is how every fixed back bucket is designed to mount.
That single adjustment is what makes a hybrid shell worth buying, since the bracket rather than the seat decides which position you end up in. High strength steel in a black finish.

Formula versus GT, set at the bracket
A formula position lays you back with your knees raised. A GT position sits you more upright with your feet lower. On a hybrid shell the seat itself works in both, and the bracket angle is what decides which one you are actually sitting in.
That makes the bracket a more consequential purchase than it looks. If you are buying a hybrid shell specifically for its two position flexibility, this is the part that delivers it.
Side mount only
These brackets are for seats with side mounting points on the shell. Reclining seats and office chairs bolt from underneath instead and need a bottom mount bracket set, which is a different part entirely.
If your seat bolts from below, the recline seat brackets are the correct choice. Check the shell before ordering, because the two arrangements have nothing in common.
More adjustment steps
These brackets cover the two main positions. If you want finer control over where the shell ends up between them, the oversized 18 stage bracket gives you considerably more steps to work with.
Either way, set the seat before you set the wheel and pedals. Everything downstream of the seat is measured from where your body ends up, so adjusting the seat last means doing the whole job twice.
