Flight Control Bundles

A flight control bundle pairs the parts of a setup that have to work together, so the yoke or stick, the throttle and the mounting all match out of the box. Gamer Gear Direct ships flight sim bundles Australia wide with local warranty support.

Yoke and throttle sets

Yoke sets suit general aviation, turboprops and airliners, where two handed control and a separate throttle quadrant match how the real aircraft is flown. The Honeycomb Aeronautical Bundle is the established pairing here, putting the Alpha yoke and switch panel together with the Bravo throttle quadrant. The Honeycomb Aeronautical Xbox Bundle is the console licensed equivalent.

The MOZA AY210 Yoke Bundle pairs a force feedback yoke base with its matching rim, which is a different proposition again: the control loads change with airspeed rather than staying constant. For a single unit that carries the yoke and throttle together, the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Control System is the simplest way in.

Base and grip sets

Force feedback stick setups split into a base and the grip that mounts to it, and the two are engineered as a pair, so buying them together is the pairing most worth getting right. The MOZA AB9 FFB Base with MH16 Flightstick is the centre stick configuration, suited to combat and aerobatic flying where the stick sits between your knees.

The MOZA AB9 FFB Base with MA3X Side Stick uses the same base with a side stick grip instead, which is the layout used in modern airliners and fighters flown from the right or left console. The MOZA AB6 Flight Simulator Bundle is the smaller force feedback option for desks with less room.

All in one control decks

Some kits put the stick, throttle and switch panels into a single chassis rather than separate devices. The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck takes that approach, combining a stick and throttle with a bank of switches and displays in one unit.

The trade off is flexibility. A single deck is quicker to set up and takes one desk footprint, but you cannot swap the stick or throttle independently later. Separate devices cost more in cables and clamps and give you an upgrade path instead.

What bundles leave out

Most kits here cover the controls in your hands. Rudder pedals are usually separate, and they are the upgrade that changes ground handling and crosswind work most, so plan for them. Sets are in rudder pedals.

Mounting is the other one. A desk clamp is enough to start, and a frame becomes worthwhile once you stop packing the setup away. Frames are in flight simulator cockpits. If you would rather choose each piece yourself, the individual ranges sit in flight simulator controls, with standalone rims and grips in yokes and joysticks.

Flight control bundle FAQs

Is a bundle cheaper than buying separately?

Sometimes, but the bigger benefit is that the parts are matched, so you are not checking mounting and compatibility yourself. Each product page lists exactly what is in the box.

Should I get a yoke or a stick?

It follows the aircraft you fly. Yokes suit general aviation, turboprops and airliners, where two handed control matches the real thing. Sticks suit fighters, aerobatics and helicopters. If you fly both, a force feedback base lets you change grips rather than buying twice.

Do bundles include rudder pedals?

Usually not. Pedals are sold separately so you can pick the set that suits your space and the aircraft you fly.

Will a bundle work on Xbox?

Only if that specific kit is licensed for it, so check the platform on the product page. Console gear is grouped in Xbox flight controls.

Can I upgrade one part later?

Yes, with the multi device kits. The pieces stay separate devices, so you can change a grip or add a throttle without replacing the rest. A single chassis control deck is the exception, since its parts are not separable.

Buying flight control bundles from Gamer Gear Direct

Gamer Gear Direct is an authorised Australian dealer for every brand in this collection, so each bundle is genuine stock carrying its manufacturer warranty alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Stock is held and dispatched from our Adelaide warehouse, and warranty support is handled locally rather than through an overseas returns process.

If you are weighing up a bundle against building a setup piece by piece, call us on (03) 9961 0240 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, or visit the showroom in Dandenong South to try the controls first.
