Flight computer displays

Flight computer displays handle the data side of the cockpit rather than the primary instruments: mission and navigation pages, systems readouts and the menus that otherwise sit behind a keyboard shortcut. In a study level sim they carry a large share of what you interact with in a sortie.

Panel bundles

Buying panels one at a time means matching housings, mounts and cable runs yourself, and a mismatch is more annoying here than it is with a stick or a throttle because everything has to line up visually across the front of the frame.

Mounting and space

Panels need a frame or a mount rather than a desk, because they sit in front of you at a fixed height and angle. Plan where they go before you buy, particularly if a monitor already occupies that space. This is the most common thing people get wrong on a first panel purchase.
