VNM Simulation Load Cell Pedal Set

View full detailsVNM Simulation makes sim racing shifters, handbrakes and load cell pedals in all aluminium, built around swappable gate plates so one shifter covers several gearboxes. Supplied from within Australia with local warranty support, rather than shipped in from overseas on order.
Read MoreMost sim racers eventually want both an H-pattern for classics and road cars and a sequential for GT and touring grids. The dual-mode shifter is both in one aluminium unit, with the sequential plate and the seven-gear H-pattern plate supplied together and a knob for each mode.
Tension adjusts independently per mode, which matters more than it sounds. A sequential shift wants to be firm, because the feel is in the resistance breaking over centre. An H-pattern wants to be lighter, because you are moving across a gate rather than through a detent.
The plate on top defines the gearbox, and it swaps on the bench in a few minutes. The shifter ships with the 6R, six forward gears plus reverse, which covers most cars. The 5R plate suits historic and rally machinery where a seventh position would sit unused, and the 7R plate covers seven-speed gearboxes.
This is the part of the range worth understanding before you buy. Drivers change what they race far more often than they change hardware, and a shifter whose layout is a swappable plate stays correct for longer.
The Handbrake V1.5 is the usual companion on the left of the cockpit for rally and drift. The Load Cell Pedal Set brakes on pressure rather than travel, and the Pedal Baseplate gives them a rigid mounting surface.
Our sim racing shifters and sim racing handbrakes ranges cover the other brands if you are comparing.
Mounting clamps and bolts are not included with the VNM shifter or handbrake. VNM are explicit about this and so are we. A desk setup needs table clamps, and a rig needs the right bolts for your profile, so it is worth adding them to the same order rather than waiting a week to mount what arrived.
The range connects by USB and is built for PC.
The gate plate system is the reason I recommend this range. Buying one shifter instead of two is the obvious saving, but the thing that actually holds up over time is that the gearbox layout is a part you can change. Sim racers move between eras and categories constantly, and most hardware forces you to pick one. Just order the mounting clamps at the same time, because almost everybody forgets.

Yes. The sequential plate and the seven-gear H-pattern plate are both supplied, along with a knob for each mode.
No. The plate is physically swapped using the hex wrenches supplied. It is a quick bench change rather than something you would do between races.
No. Clamps and bolts are bought separately for both the shifter and the handbrake.
The 6R, six forward gears plus reverse. The 5R and 7R are available separately.
The range connects by USB and is built for PC.
All VNM Simulation gear is genuine, covered by its manufacturer warranty, and supported locally rather than through an overseas returns process.
