View full detailsSim Racing Pro builds one thing and builds it properly: a pneumatic brake pedal that behaves like the brake in a race car rather than a spring under a sensor. This page covers the SRP pedal sets we stock in Australia, in both the GT-R and Formula-R layouts.
Read MoreMost high-end sim pedals measure how hard you push against a stack of rubber or a steel load cell. SRP uses a pneumatic piston instead, with a stainless steel body and a ceramic diaphragm transducer reading the pressure. The pedal builds resistance the way a hydraulic brake does, so the pressure you learn to hold is the pressure you get back.
That is the whole reason the brand exists, and it is why these sit at the top of our sim racing pedals range rather than alongside the entry-level sets.
Both sets share the same engineering and both arrive as a two pedal set, throttle and brake. Same pneumatic piston, same ceramic transducers, same aluminium construction, same software. Neither is locked to one kind of car.
The difference is where they go from there. The GT-R accepts an optional clutch pedal, so it can become a three pedal set for anything with a manual box or a standing start, and it takes a longer list of add-ons including an inversion kit. The Formula-R stays at two, which is what a formula car has, and gives you more freedom over where each pedal sits instead. If you are weighing them up, call us and we will talk it through against your rig.
The pedals are machined from AL6061 aluminium on five-axis CNC equipment and finished with a hard anodised coating. Inside are SKF needle bearings, polished stainless steel shafts and stainless hardware.
The point of that specification is not the material list. It is that nothing in the load path flexes or wears into a different feel after a season, which is what you are paying for when you buy at this level.
Each set runs SRP MySETUP, which handles brake pressure, pedal response and saved profiles. You can keep one profile for a high-downforce car and another for something that needs a lighter foot, and switch between them without re-learning the pedal.
There are two modes. PRO gives you a fixed, known configuration to train against. CUSTOM opens up the curves and lets you shape the pedal around your own braking. There is also an ABS button setting for cars where you want a regressive feel at the end of the travel.
The pedals are PC devices and connect over USB-C. Console use is possible through a Drivehub adapter, which is a separate third-party device, and Drivehub publishes its own compatibility list for wheels and peripherals. Check your wheelbase against that list before you commit to a console setup.
Mounting needs something rigid. A pneumatic brake puts real load through the frame, and a pedal deck that moves gives it straight back. Our sim racing cockpits range covers frames that will take it, and our direct drive wheelbases range covers the other end of the setup.
Some of the best machining in anything we stock. Everything is cut from solid aluminium, the bearings and shafts are proper industrial parts rather than the cheapest thing that fits the hole, and the whole assembly has the density you only get when nobody has been told to shave cost out of it. The brake is the clever bit, but the craftsmanship is what you notice first and what you keep noticing. The honest caveat is that build quality at this level costs what it costs, and not every driver needs it.

The brake uses a pneumatic piston and a ceramic diaphragm transducer rather than a load cell. It builds pressure progressively, which is closer to how a real brake loads up under your foot.
Both are a two pedal set, throttle and brake. The GT-R accepts an optional clutch pedal if you want a third, and takes a wider range of add-ons including an inversion kit. The Formula-R stays at two, which matches what a formula car actually has, and focuses instead on how you position them. Tell us what you drive and what rig you are on and we will point you at the right one.
They are PC devices. Console use needs a Drivehub adapter, which is a separate third-party product, and whether it works depends on your wheelbase. Check the Drivehub compatibility list, or ask us first.
They need a rigid pedal deck or a solid cockpit to be worth it. Tell us which rig you own and we will confirm the fit before you order rather than after.
Brake pressure and pedal response through SRP MySETUP, a PRO mode with a fixed configuration and a CUSTOM mode for shaping the curves, saved profiles you can switch between, and an ABS button setting.
Two years from the manufacturer against defects. We are an authorised Sim Racing Pro dealer, so the claim is handled locally by our team rather than through an overseas returns process, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply on top of it.
We are an authorised Sim Racing Pro dealer, so every set here is genuine and carries its manufacturer warranty, handled locally rather than through an overseas returns process, alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Stock is held and dispatched from our Adelaide warehouse. You can also try the range at our Dandenong South showroom in Melbourne, which is the only honest way to judge a brake like this.
If you want to know whether the jump from your current pedals is worth it, call the team on (03) 9961 0240 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We will tell you if it is not.
