Playseat Flight Simulators

Playseat flight simulator cockpits put a seat, a yoke or stick mount and rudder pedals into one frame that folds away when you are done. The Playseat flight range is stocked here in Australia, with local warranty support and advice on fitting your controls.

Three mounting positions

The frame gives you a centre column and a plate on each side. A yoke goes on the centre mount, or a joystick if you fly combat, and the side plates take a throttle quadrant or a second stick. Rudder pedals sit on the rail in front of your feet.

All three positions adjust. The centre column moves for reach and the side plates reposition, so the layout is set to your arms rather than to a fixed hole pattern. The plates are pre-drilled for common mounting patterns, and the controls themselves are in flight simulator controls.

Yoke or HOTAS

The two layouts want different things from a frame. A yoke setup puts the column in the centre and the quadrant to one side, so reach adjustment is what matters. A HOTAS build splits stick and throttle to either side and cares more about how far apart the plates sit.

This frame does both without being rebuilt, which is the reason to buy one rather than clamping everything to a desk. Yokes, joysticks and rudder pedals are listed separately if you are still choosing what to fly with.

Folding it away

The seat folds down and the frame compacts, which is the difference between a flight rig you leave set up and one that lives in a cupboard between sessions. If the room has another job during the week, that matters more than any spec on the page.

It is a tubular steel frame with a synthetic leather seat and dense foam bolsters, so folding it repeatedly is not a problem. The height range it suits is on the product page, and it is wider than most frames manage.

Playseat flight simulator FAQs

Will my yoke fit?

The mounting plates are pre-drilled for common patterns, and the centre column adjusts for reach. Some yokes want a specific bracket rather than a universal plate, so tell us what you have and we will confirm it before you order.

Can I run a yoke and a HOTAS on the same frame?

Yes, and switching between them is the point of three separate mounts. A yoke on the centre column with a quadrant to one side, or a stick and throttle on the two side plates, using the same frame either way.

Does it take rudder pedals?

Yes. They sit on the rail in front of the seat rather than loose on the floor, so they stay square to you and do not walk away under load.

How compact is it folded?

Small enough to store in a cupboard or against a wall, which is what the folding design is for. The exact folded dimensions are listed on the product page.

Is it covered by warranty in Australia?

Yes. We are an authorised Playseat dealer, so the manufacturer warranty applies and support is handled here rather than through an overseas returns process, alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Buying Playseat flight gear in Australia

Gamer Gear Direct is an authorised Playseat dealer, so everything here is genuine stock with its warranty intact and your rights under Australian Consumer Law behind it. Stock ships from our Adelaide warehouse. The rest of the Playseat range sits together, and every flight frame we stock, whatever the construction, is in flight simulator cockpits.

Sitting in a frame tells you more than a spec sheet, and you can do that at our Dandenong South showroom in Melbourne. If you are working out whether your controls will bolt straight on, call us on (03) 9961 0240 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
