Honeycomb Echo Aviation Controller
The Echo Aviation Controller is built for pilots who do not have room for a yoke, a throttle quadrant and a set of rudder pedals, and do not want to fly with a keyboard instead. It puts the core of all three into one handheld unit.
An analogue flight stick handles pitch and roll on hall effect sensors, a bank of four configurable sliders covers throttle, flaps and airbrakes, and a pair of paddles gives you rudder without pedals on the floor. A trim wheel and dedicated gear, flap and brake switches fill in the rest.
It runs wired over USB-C or wireless on 2.4GHz, and it is part of the wider Honeycomb Aeronautical range sold and supported in Australia by Gamer Gear Direct.

How the Echo compares to a full hardware setup
A conventional flight sim setup is three separate devices bolted or clamped to a desk, and each one is better at its own job than any all in one controller can be. A yoke has more travel, a quadrant has longer lever throw, and pedals give finer yaw than a thumb paddle ever will.
What the Echo does instead is collapse those three into something you can pick up and put away. Nothing needs mounting, nothing needs desk depth, and there is no floor space involved. Rudder without pedals on the floor
Yaw is usually the first thing that gets dropped from a compact setup, because pedals need floor space and something to brace against. The Echo handles it with dual paddles worked by your fingers, which keeps rudder as a real analogue axis rather than a keyboard tap.
It will not replace a proper set for crosswind work or taildragger handling, and anyone flying seriously will still want the floor mounted version eventually. Those sit in Rudder Pedals.
Hall effect sensing and the trim wheel
The flight stick uses hall effect sensors, which read position magnetically with no physical contact. The practical effect is that small inputs stay accurate over time rather than developing the drift and dead centre that wears into contact sensors.
The trim wheel is the other piece most compact controllers leave out. Trimming an aircraft properly is how you stop fighting the stick in the cruise, and having a real wheel for it rather than a button makes that a continuous adjustment instead of a stepped one.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Echo replace a yoke, throttle and rudder pedals?
It covers what all three do in one unit: an analogue stick for pitch and roll, four sliders for throttle and flaps, and paddles for rudder. A dedicated yoke, quadrant and pedal set will still give you more travel and finer control, so the Echo is the answer where space rules that out.
Does the Echo work on Xbox?
No. The Echo is built for PC and Mac and is not Xbox compatible. If you fly on console, look at the Xbox licensed hardware instead.
Can I use it wirelessly?
Yes. It runs on a 2.4GHz wireless connection, and it also connects wired over USB-C using the cable supplied. Either mode gives you the full control set.
Which flight simulators does it support?
Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane 11 and 12, and Prepar3D. It presents as a standard controller, so bindings are set in the simulator the same way as any other device.
Who is the Echo best suited to?
Pilots flying from a laptop, a couch or a shared space where a permanent setup is not practical, and anyone who wants a full control set that packs away. If you have a dedicated desk or rig, separate hardware is the better long term buy.
