How Sigma Integrale Motion Systems Work

A Sigma Integrale system sits beneath your cockpit on a set of billet actuators. The controller reads the simulator's telemetry in real time and drives those actuators to reproduce what the car is actually doing: dive under brakes, weight transfer through a corner, and the surface passing under the tyres.

Sigma takes what it calls a Motion Integrity approach, driving the platform from the vehicle physics rather than layering canned effects on top. In practice that means far less time spent on sliders than systems that lean on effects to cover gaps in the data.

Choosing Between the DK2, DK2+ and DK6+

All three platforms share the same architecture and differ on payload and travel. The DK2 is the compact option and suits a typical home simulator. The DK2+ carries a heavier load on the same travel, which is what you want under a full aluminium profile rig or in a commercial sim centre.

The DK6+ matches the DK2+ on payload but adds substantially more stroke, and Sigma recommends that longer travel for off road, rally and flight simulation where the extra movement has something to express. Most buyers pair a platform with a direct drive wheelbase and a load cell set of sim racing pedals, so what you feel through the controls and through the seat agree with each other.

What Your Rig Needs Before You Add Motion

Motion is the last thing you add to a simulator rather than the first. The platform lifts and tilts the whole cockpit, so the rig above it has to be stiff enough not to flex, and your displays need to travel with the rig instead of standing beside it. It is also worth being honest about the room. A motion platform needs clearance on every side and a floor that will not carry noise through the house.
