Description

Profile build, infinite positioning

This version of the TR One pedal mount swaps the pre-drilled plate for an aluminium profile build, which means your pedals mount anywhere along the rails rather than at fixed hole positions. An adjustable heel rest is included.

Angle adjusts through a tool-free screw. It suits the TR200, TR160 and TR120 cockpits.

Key features

  • Aluminium profile mounting build
  • Infinite pedal positioning along the rails
  • Adjustable heel rest included
  • Tool-free angle adjustment
  • Two 40x40mm and one 80x40mm profile supplied
  • Fits TR200, TR160 and TR120

Profile rails versus a drilled plate

A pre-drilled plate gives you the hole positions the manufacturer chose. Profile rails give you every position in between, which matters if your pedal set is an unusual width or if you want the brake further from the throttle than the standard spacing allows.

The trade is setup time. A drilled plate is faster to fit because the decisions are already made. If you would rather have that, the pre-drilled plate version is the same system with a carbon steel plate instead of the profiles.

The heel rest

A heel rest gives your foot a fixed pivot point, which is the reference every braking input is measured against. Without one your heel sits on whatever is underneath, and on carpet that is a moving target.

It is adjustable, so set it after the pedals are positioned rather than before. Heel height changes your ankle angle, and ankle angle is what determines how finely you can modulate a load cell brake.

Which cockpits it fits

The TR200, TR160 and TR120. This is a narrower fitment list than some parts in the range, so check your cockpit before ordering rather than assuming an aluminium rig will take it.

For the smaller S variant cockpits, the dedicated heel plates are the relevant parts: the TR40S heel plate and the TR80S heel plate.

Our expert take

"Infinite positioning sounds like marketing until you own a pedal set the drilled plate was not designed around. If your pedals are anything other than mainstream, or you want unusual spacing between them, the profile version saves you drilling holes in a steel plate."
