Description
Upright rally position
The rally profile version of the same shell. A fibreglass bucket with a hydro dipped carbon fibre texture, shaped to sit you upright rather than reclined, which is how you sit in a rally car and in most road going machinery.
Upright seating raises your eyeline and brings your hands closer to your chest, which suits stage rally, older touring cars and anything where you are looking a long way ahead. It fits the tube frame cockpits including the RS6, TR8 Pro, TRX, Porsche 91XTR and Carbon Fibre TRX, and the aluminium profile range covering the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK.

Why upright changes the driving
A reclined GT position puts your head low and your sightline along the bonnet. An upright rally position lifts you, which matters when you are reading a road that keeps changing and looking much further ahead than a circuit driver does.
It also changes where your arms sit. Upright puts your elbows closer to your body, which is the position rally drivers use for fast hand over hand steering. If you mostly race circuits, the GT Pro seat in the reclined profile is the better fit.
The finish, stated plainly
The shell is fibreglass. The carbon fibre appearance comes from a hydro dipped texture applied to the surface, not from woven carbon underneath. It is a genuine cosmetic upgrade and a genuinely rigid seat, and it is not a carbon shell.
We say that because the difference is worth real money and because you will find out eventually. Our dry carbon seats are listed as dry carbon and priced accordingly.
Brackets and position
It side mounts on M8 fixings at 29.5mm spacing. The bracket you pair it with decides how upright you actually end up, since a rally shell in a low bracket ends up somewhere between the two positions.
The bucket seat brackets are the direct match for a side mounted shell. Add a seat slider underneath if the rig is shared, because upright seating is far more sensitive to leg length than a reclined position is.

Is the shell carbon fibre?
No. It is a fibreglass shell with a hydro dipped carbon fibre texture finish. The appearance is carbon, the structure is fibreglass. Our dry carbon seats are listed separately.
How is this different from the GT Pro seat?
The shell material and finish are the same. The profile differs: this one sits you upright for rally and road car style driving, the GT Pro reclines you for circuit racing.
Who does it fit?
It suits waists between 42 and 46 inches and drivers between 130cm and 200cm, rated to 160kg.
Can I fit a harness?
Yes. The shell is slotted for 4, 5 and 6 point harnesses.
