Description
A single G5 actuator, for adding one or replacing one
One D-BOX G5 haptic motion actuator on its own. This is the part you buy to take a three actuator rig to four, to extend a system with a Haptic Expander, or to replace a unit.
It carries the same specification as every actuator in a G5 system: 114kg lifting capacity, a 38.1mm stroke at up to 100mm per second, and a 0 to 100Hz frequency range with a voltage switch for 230V mains. Our motion simulators range covers the complete systems.

What it does not include
This is the actuator alone. There is no Haptic Bridge in the box, and no mounting bracket or bracket hardware, because this part exists to join a system that already has both.
If you are starting from nothing rather than adding to an existing rig, the G5 3250i and G5 4250i systems include the bridge and the brackets. If you have a system and need the mount, the G5 actuator mounting bracket is the part.
Where a fourth actuator goes
On a three actuator rig the single rear unit moves the whole back together. Adding a fourth splits that, so each rear corner moves independently and the rig rolls at both ends rather than just the front.
The Haptic Bridge already drives up to four, so nothing else changes on the control side. Beyond four, a Haptic Expander takes the system to seven actuators and up to six degrees of freedom.

Frequently asked questions
Does it come with a Haptic Bridge?
No. The actuator is supplied on its own. It connects by RJ45 to a Haptic Bridge you already have, and one bridge drives up to four actuators.
Is a mounting bracket included?
No. On an aluminium profile rig you need a bracket and its hardware, which is a separate purchase. On a tube frame the actuator mounts to a motion platform base instead.
Will it match my existing actuators?
Yes, provided they are G5. Every G5 actuator shares the same 114kg capacity, 38.1mm stroke and 0 to 100Hz range, so a mixed age set behaves consistently.
Can I run more than four?
Not from the Haptic Bridge alone. A Haptic Expander extends the system to seven actuators and up to six degrees of freedom.
