Four actuators, one controller, the full motion layout
Four D-BOX G5 haptic actuators, one at each corner of the rig, driven by a single Haptic Bridge. This is the configuration that gives you pitch, roll and heave together, so braking loads the front, cornering loads the outside and kerbs arrive under the wheel that hit them.
Each actuator lifts 114kg and moves through a 38.1mm stroke at up to 100mm per second, with a frequency range from 0 to 100Hz. That range is the point: the same hardware delivers a slow weight transfer and a sharp kerb strike without swapping to a separate transducer.
Four Trak Racer carbon steel brackets are in the box for mounting straight to an aluminium profile frame. Our motion simulators range covers the rest of the motion hardware.
Key features
- Four D-BOX G5 haptic actuators, one per corner
- 114kg lifting capacity per actuator
- 38.1mm stroke at up to 100mm per second
- Frequency range from 0 to 100Hz
- Acceleration to plus or minus 1g
- Single Haptic Bridge drives all four
- Four Trak Racer steel brackets supplied
- Voltage switch on every actuator for 230V
- FIA licensed haptic technology
- Adaptive Gaming covers titles with no native support
One small controller instead of two large ones
The Haptic Bridge is the piece that changed between generations. A four actuator G3 setup needed two large controller boxes; G5 runs the same four from one compact unit that connects to your PC on a single USB A to B cable.
The actuators then run to it on ordinary RJ45 patch leads rather than proprietary connectors, which makes cable management on a rig far less of an exercise. One note worth following: the Haptic Bridge connects directly to a USB port on the PC, not through a USB hub.
What the numbers actually mean at the seat
A 38.1mm stroke sounds modest until you consider what it is doing. Motion at this scale is not about throwing the rig around, it is about giving your inner ear a cue that matches what your hands and eyes are already being told, which is what stops the disconnect that makes a static rig feel like a screen.
The 0 to 100Hz range is what lets one system cover both ends. Low frequency for body movement under braking and cornering, high frequency for surface texture, kerbs and lock-up. Horizontal load capacity is three times the vertical figure on a low friction surface.
HaptiSync Center, and games with no motion support
The software is D-BOX HaptiSync Center, which replaced the older Motion Core suite and folds the Game Center, the HaptiSync app and the control panel into one place. More than 90 titles are coded by D-BOX to drive the actuators from the game's own telemetry.
Everything else is covered by Adaptive Gaming, which does not rely on telemetry from the game at all and draws on over 300 effects to generate motion from what is happening on screen. That is the difference between a motion rig that works in your three main sims and one that works in whatever you load.
Which frame you are mounting to
This kit is built for an aluminium profile rig. The four Trak Racer carbon steel brackets bolt the actuators directly to the extrusion, and the M6 and M8 hardware comes with them.
A tube frame is a different job. If you are running a Trak Racer tube chassis such as the Alpine Racing TRX, the actuators need a motion platform underneath rather than brackets, and the TR Move Motion Platform Base is the part that does it. Our racing simulators pages cover which chassis is which.
Four actuators or three
Four puts an actuator at each corner and gives you roll and pitch independently, which is the fuller picture and the layout to choose if you want everything the system can do.
Three, in the D-BOX G5 3250i, puts two at the front and one at the rear. It still gives pitch and roll, costs one actuator less to run, and a lot of experienced drivers settle there deliberately rather than as a compromise. Both use the same actuator, the same Haptic Bridge and the same software.
Our expert take
"Motion is the upgrade people put off longest and regret waiting on. The thing to understand is that 38mm of travel is not trying to simulate a rollercoaster, it is closing the gap between what your eyes see and what your body feels. Four corners is the full version. If you are on a profile rig this kit has the brackets you need in the box, and if you are on a tube frame budget for a platform as well."

Frequently asked questions
Do I need anything else to run it?
A Windows PC and an aluminium profile rig. The four actuators, the Haptic Bridge, the brackets and the mounting hardware are all in the box. A tube frame needs a motion platform base instead of the brackets.
How much weight can it carry?
Each actuator is rated to 114kg, so four of them carry 456kg between them. D-BOX are clear that the rating is per actuator and that weight should be distributed evenly, because an unbalanced rig can overload one actuator while the total still looks fine.
Does it work in games that do not support motion?
Yes. More than 90 titles are coded by D-BOX to use the game's own telemetry. Everything else runs on Adaptive Gaming, which generates motion without telemetry using over 300 effects.
Is it PC only?
Yes. The D-BOX G5 system and HaptiSync Center are built for Windows PC. There is no console support.
Can I add more actuators later?
The Haptic Bridge drives up to four on its own. Beyond that a Haptic Expander takes the system to seven actuators and up to six degrees of freedom.
How is it powered?
Each actuator carries a voltage switch for 120V or 230V operation, so it is set for Australian mains. A four actuator system draws 540W average at 230V, with a 960VA rating and 4.2A peak current.
