Description
Shifter mount that disappears
A gear shifter mount built specifically for the Alpine Racing TRX, clamping to the two inch steel tube the cockpit is framed from. Aluminium profile brackets will not fit a round tube, which is why this is a dedicated part rather than a universal one.
The matte black finish is the point of this version. On a black framed TRX the mount reads as part of the chassis rather than as an accessory bolted onto it, which is what most owners want.

Tube framing needs a tube clamp
The TRX is a welded steel tube chassis rather than an aluminium extrusion one. There is no slot to slide a T-nut into, so everything mounts by clamping around the tube. That is a different engineering problem and it is why the profile mounts in the rest of the range are not an option here.
The upside is that a tube clamp can sit anywhere along the frame rather than only where a slot runs. Position is genuinely free, so set the shifter exactly where your hand falls.
Choosing black
Matte black is the finish that vanishes. It matches the standard TRX frame, it does not draw the eye away from the wheel, and it does not date the way a colour accent can if you change the rest of the rig later.
If you would rather the mount be visible, the same part is available in Alpine F1 blue, which picks up the livery on the Alpine edition cockpits.
