One bracket, either side
A handbrake bracket designed around the Alpine Racing TRX, and unlike the handed TR8 Pro mounts this one fits either side of the cockpit. A single unit covers whichever hand you brake with.
It is also more widely usable than the name suggests. Beyond the TRX it fits any aluminium profile with an 8mm T-slot, which puts it on a lot of rigs that are not Trak Racer cockpits at all.
Key features
- Fits either the left or the right side
- Designed for the Alpine Racing TRX
- Also fits any 8mm T-slot profile
- One unit covers both orientations
- Wide handbrake brand compatibility
- Position adjustable along the frame
Not handed, which simplifies the order
The TR8 Pro handbrake mounts are separate left and right parts. This one is not. The same bracket works on either side of the cockpit, so there is no decision to get wrong at the point of ordering and no risk of receiving two of the same hand.
If you want a handbrake on both sides, which a few drivers do for different disciplines, you simply order two of the same item.
Beyond the TRX
The bracket was designed for the TRX, but its mounting interface is an 8mm T-slot, which is the standard across aluminium profile framing generally. That means it fits Trak Racer's profile cockpits and a good number of rigs from other manufacturers.
It supports handbrake units from a broad list of sim racing brands. Check the bolt pattern of your handbrake against the mount before deciding where on the frame it should sit, and look at our racing simulator accessories range if you also need a support arm for it to clamp to. For a TR8 Pro or an RS6 the handed mounts are the correct parts instead, in left and right versions.
Our expert take
"This is the more forgiving of the handbrake mounts because there is no left or right to get wrong, and the 8mm T-slot interface means it turns up useful on rigs it was never designed for. If you are not sure which handbrake mount you need, this is usually the safer buy."
