A smaller handle, for tight cockpits
The compact slider exists to solve one specific problem: a full size slider handle fouling something mounted in the centre of the cockpit. A flight stick between your knees, a low wheel deck or a pedal plate close to the seat will all get in the way of a large lever.
This one uses a low profile handle and a single locking pin, so it clears hardware a full size slider would hit. Steel rail and slider components.
Key features
- Low profile compact handle
- Single locking pin mechanism
- Clears centre mounted flight sticks and wheel decks
- Steel rail and slider components
- Fits under a seat or seat brackets
- Universal fitment
The clearance problem it solves
Flight simulator cockpits are the common case. A centre mounted stick sits directly between the driver's knees, which is exactly where a full size slider handle wants to be. The same applies to a racing rig with a low wheel deck, or a pedal plate that has been brought close to the seat.
If none of that describes your cockpit, the full size dual lock slider is the easier one to live with. Its handle is bigger, which makes it easier to reach and operate, and it publishes its travel figures.
Single locking pin
The compact kit uses a single locking pin to hold the seat position once set. It is a simpler mechanism than the full size slider and part of what allows the smaller handle.
Set the position with your weight in the seat rather than standing beside the rig, and check the pin has fully engaged before you drive. As with any moving part in the load path, it is worth checking after the first few sessions.
Measure before you order
Because this is the clearance option, the measurement that matters is the space between your seat base and whatever sits in front of it. Work out where a handle can go before choosing which slider to buy.
It fits under a seat or under seat brackets, and it does not replace them. Side mounted buckets still need bucket seat brackets, and the rest of our racing simulator accessories range covers the hardware that goes between.
Our expert take
"Buy this one for the clearance, not as a general upgrade. If your cockpit has nothing mounted in the centre, the full size slider is nicer to use day to day. If you fly as well as race, or your pedal plate sits close, the compact handle is the reason this listing exists."

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the dual lock slider?
The handle is smaller and lower profile, and it uses a single locking pin. It is designed for cockpits where a full size handle would foul a centre mounted flight stick, wheel deck or pedal plate.
Do I still need seat brackets?
Yes. The slider fits under a seat or under seat brackets and does not replace them.
Which one should I buy?
The full size dual lock slider unless you have a clearance problem in the centre of the cockpit. Its handle is easier to reach and it publishes its travel range.

Steel rail and slider components.
