The wheel plate for the tube frames
Trak Racer builds two kinds of cockpit and they do not share mounting hardware. This carbon steel wheel mount plate is the one for the tube frame range: the TRX, the Porsche 91XTR and the Carbon Fibre TRX.
It needs an Alpine Racing TRX cockpit and Trak Racer side mounts to fit to. If your rig is built from aluminium profile rather than steel tube, this is not the plate you want.

Tube frame or extrusion
The distinction runs through the whole Trak Racer accessory range. Tube frame cockpits like the TRX are welded steel with round section members. Extrusion cockpits like the TR160 and TR120 are aluminium profile with an 8mm slot running along every face. Mounting hardware for one does not fit the other.
This plate is for the tube frames. The equivalent for the profile rigs is the universal wheelbase plate deck, which covers the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK.
What goes on top of it
The plate is the surface, not the wheelbase interface. Many bases bolt straight down onto it. Others, particularly the higher torque Simucube, VRS and Simagic hardware, want a motor mount between the base and the plate.
Carbon steel is the right material for that job. It carries a heavy base without the flex you would get from a thinner aluminium sheet, and on a tube frame rig the plate is doing more of the structural work than it would on an extrusion chassis. Which cockpits does this fit?

Do I need anything else?
Yes. It requires an Alpine Racing TRX cockpit and Trak Racer side mounts to fix to. The mounting hardware for the plate itself is included.
Will my wheelbase bolt straight to it?
Many do. Higher torque bases from Simucube, VRS and Simagic generally need a motor mount between the base and the plate.
