The base kit, and a native Fanatec fit
This is the foundation of the TR One V3 system, and for Fanatec owners it is also the finish line. The kit gives you the full V3 mounting structure, a 120x40mm extrusion channel across a 580mm mount width, and it accepts a Fanatec direct drive wheelbase natively. No adapter plate, no separate bracket.
Every other wheelbase brand takes this same kit and adds an interface plate on top. If you run Fanatec, you are buying the whole solution in one part. It bolts to the aluminium chassis rigs in the Trak Racer range, covering the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK.

Which Fanatec wheelbases fit without an adapter
The kit takes the CSL DD QR2, the Gran Turismo DD Pro QR2, the ClubSport DD and ClubSport DD+, the Podium Wheel Base DD1 and DD2, the Podium DD and the Gran Turismo DD Extreme. All of those bolt straight to the kit as supplied.
If you are running any other brand, this kit is still the right starting point, but you will need the matching interface plate for your wheelbase. We stock those separately, and the complete bundles pair the two together if you would rather buy them as one.
What 2-Way actually means
The 2-Way name refers to how the 120x40mm extrusion is oriented, not to where the wheelbase sits. Run it vertically and you free up leg and knee clearance for a formula seating position. Turn it horizontally and you gain a broad flat span for a dashboard, a button box or a small display.
That flexibility is the practical difference between V3 and the generations before it. On earlier TR One mounts the extrusion had one orientation and you built around it. Here you choose, and you can change your mind later without buying another mount.
Adjustment and rigidity
Angle and distance are both adjustable, so the wheel can be brought closer for a formula position or pushed out and tilted for a GT stance. Because the structure clamps into the chassis rather than bolting to a single plate, the load spreads across the frame instead of concentrating at one joint.
That matters as torque climbs. A high output direct drive wheelbases puts real force through the mount every time the car hits a kerb, and a mount that flexes under that load costs you the detail the wheelbase is trying to send you. Owners of a V1 or V2 mount can reach the same 2-Way arrangement with the V3 upgrade side plate set rather than replacing the whole mount.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need anything else if I have a Fanatec wheelbase?
No. The listed Fanatec direct drive bases mount natively to this kit with no additional plate or bracket. Everything needed to fit the kit to the cockpit is supplied.
What if I have a different brand of wheelbase?
You will need the interface plate for your brand in addition to this kit. Trak Racer makes plates for Asetek, MOZA, and the Simucube, VRS and Simagic group, plus a universal wheel deck.
Which cockpits does it fit?
The aluminium profile range: TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK. It is not intended for the tube frame cockpits, which use a different mounting system.
Can I mount the extrusion horizontally?
Yes. Vertical or horizontal orientation is what the 2-Way name describes. Vertical gives leg clearance for formula seating, horizontal gives you a flat span for a dashboard or button box.
