Trak Racer Shifter & Handbrake Side-Mount Upgrade Kit (Left/Right)
Rally and drift driving use the shifter and the handbrake within the same second, which makes their positions a single problem rather than two. Put them on opposite sides of the cockpit and you are asking one hand to do two jobs it cannot do at once.
This kit mounts both sides of the chassis so a shifter and a handbrake sit together, side by side, where the hand already goes. The shift stem is solid and the handbrake mounting points adjust.
It is built for the Trak Racer RS6 and TR8 Pro specifically, and it sits with the rest of the hardware mounts.

Two controls, one hand, one place
The reason to mount them together is sequencing. A handbrake turn is a downshift and a pull almost simultaneously, and a Scandinavian flick is worse again. If the two controls live apart, the hand has to travel between them and the timing goes.
Side by side on the same chassis rail, the movement becomes one action. That is why this layout is standard on rally rigs and increasingly common on drift setups.
Handbrake height and reach adjust independently, so you can set the lever relative to the shifter rather than accepting whatever the bracket gives you.
Designed for the RS6 and TR8 Pro
This is the compatibility note that settles everything else. The kit is engineered for the Trak Racer RS6 and TR8 Pro, and the mounts are shaped to those two chassis rather than adapted to cover a range of frames.
It is not suitable for Trak Racer's aluminium extrusion rigs, and it is not suitable for other tubular cockpits either. If your rig is anything other than an RS6 or a TR8 Pro, this is not the part.
For extrusion frames the TR-One mounts are the equivalent, designed specifically for aluminium profile systems. Browse the aluminium chassis rigs for those.
What it takes
The shifter list runs to 28 brands including Trak Racer, Fanatec, Heusinkveld, MOZA, Simagic, Pro-Sim, Thrustmaster and Logitech, with the Jinx, Simworx Pro Series and Quaife units needing an additional mount.
The handbrake list runs to 30 brands including Trak Racer, Fanatec, Asetek SimSports, Heusinkveld, MOZA, Simagic, Sim Coaches, Simworx and Thrustmaster.
If yours is not named on either list, ask us before ordering and we will check it against Trak Racer directly. The rest of the cockpit range is in the racing simulator range.

Will it fit my aluminium extrusion rig?
No. It is not suitable for Trak Racer's extrusion rigs, and it is not suitable for other tubular cockpits either. The TR-One mounts are the equivalent for extrusion frames.
Does it mount on both sides?
Yes, the kit includes left and right chassis mounts so the shifter and handbrake sit together as a pair.
