The mount for a belt tensioner
A belt tensioner pulls your harness tight under braking and releases it again, which is the single most convincing piece of haptic feedback you can add to a sim. This is the bracket that mounts one to your cockpit.
It is powder coated aluminium, 3mm thick, measuring 488mm wide by 99mm high by 105mm deep. It fits under seat brackets or seat slider rails, which is what makes it work across a wide range of cockpits rather than one specific frame.

What it is and what it is not
This listing is the bracket. The QS-BT1 tensioner itself is a separate unit and is not included, so buy the bracket to mount a tensioner you have or are buying, not as a tensioner in its own right.
The bracket is the part that decides whether a tensioner will work properly on your rig. Belt tension pulls hard and at an angle, so the mounting has to be solid and correctly placed or the effect feels vague rather than sharp.
Mounting under the seat hardware
It sits under seat brackets or seat slider rails rather than bolting to a specific chassis member. That is deliberate, and it is why the bracket suits cockpits using seat brackets or slider rails generally rather than a short list of frames.
If you are building the seating from scratch, work out the order first: chassis, then slider if you are fitting one, then this bracket, then the seat brackets, then the seat.
Belt tensioning and the rest of the seat
A tensioner only works if there is a harness to tension. A conventional lap belt will not do the job, and the seat needs to be shaped to take a harness properly.
Our racing seats range shows which shells are slotted for 4, 5 and 6 point harnesses, and the harness itself is a separate purchase. Plan the three together, because retrofitting a harness to a seat that was not designed for one is not worth attempting.
