Description

Trak Racer Quick-Adjust Dual Locking Pedal Slider System

Sharing a rig means moving the pedals, and moving the pedals usually means an Allen key, a torch and ten minutes under the frame. Nobody does it. The taller driver ends up cramped or the shorter one ends up pointing their toes, and the rig quietly becomes one person's.

This puts the pedal deck on rails. An adjustment handle releases it, the whole assembly slides fore and aft, and a dual locking system clamps both sides rather than one.

That second detail is the one that matters under braking. It sits with the rest of the hardware mounts we carry for extrusion rigs.

Key features

  • Pedals slide fore and aft on rails
  • Dual locking system secures both sides
  • Adjustment handle bar for tool-free repositioning
  • Heavy-duty steel construction
  • Suited to load cell and high-force pedal sets
  • Smooth sliding action with secure lock engagement
  • Heavy-duty steel mounting brackets included
  • Complete mounting hardware kit supplied

Both sides, not one

Single-sided sliders are common and they are the reason a lot of people distrust the whole category. Clamp one edge of a pedal deck and the other edge can still move, and under a hard load cell stop that shows up as a deck that twists slightly with every application.

You do not always notice it directly. What you notice is inconsistent brake pressure, because the pedal is not travelling the same distance through the same arc each time.

Locking both sides removes that degree of freedom. Trak Racer specify it as improved rigidity and confidence under heavy braking, and on a load cell set that is exactly where it earns its place.

Adjustment you will actually use

The handle bar is the difference between a rig two people share and a rig one person owns. Release, slide, lock, sit down. It takes seconds rather than a tool and a torch.

That also makes it worth having for a single driver. Pedal distance is not one setting: a formula seating position wants them further away than a GT one, and if changing takes ten minutes you simply never change it.

The slide is smooth with a positive lock engagement, so it does not creep between adjustments.

Extrusion rigs only

This is the one compatibility note that really matters. Trak Racer state it explicitly: the slider is for extrusion-profile rigs only. Compatible frames include the TR200, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK, plus other branded extrusion rigs.

It is not compatible with any Trak Racer tube-frame cockpit. That list includes the RS6, TR8 PRO, TRX, Porsche 91XTR, Carbon Fibre TRX, TR5, TRF, Aston Martin AMR26, TR2, TR3, TR4 and the Hot Wheels HW2, HW3 and HW5. If you run one of those, this is not the part.

One more thing to plan for: the pedal mounting plate and the brackets that attach your pedals to that plate are not included. The slider is the rail assembly. Ask us what else you need for your setup, or browse the racing simulator accessories and the aluminium chassis rigs.

Our expert take

"Dual locking is the specification to look for and most people do not know to look for it. A single-sided slider under a load cell brake introduces a twist you will feel as inconsistency rather than as movement, which makes it very hard to diagnose."

"Read the incompatibility list before anything else. Trak Racer are unusually direct about this one: extrusion only, no tube frames at all, and it is the single most common reason a pedal slider gets sent back."

- Blake Sterling, Founder & CEO, Gamer Gear Direct

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit my rig?

Only if your cockpit is an extrusion-profile rig. Trak Racer list the TR200, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK, plus other branded extrusion frames. It does not fit any Trak Racer tube-frame cockpit.

Does it include a pedal plate?

No. The kit is the slider rail assembly, handle bar, steel mounting brackets and hardware. The pedal mounting plate and the brackets that fix your pedals to it are separate.

Is it strong enough for load cell pedals?

Yes, it is specified for load cell and high-force sets, and the dual locking system clamps both sides for rigidity under heavy braking.

Do I need tools to adjust it?

No. The adjustment handle bar releases and locks the assembly, so repositioning takes seconds.
