Trak Racer Swivel Tabletop / Desk Mount
Most sim rigs have no answer to the question of where a keyboard goes, and the usual solution is the floor, the seat, or a tray that lives in the way. This one is a 620mm desk that swings out of the driving position entirely.
The plate is 620 by 200mm on a reinforced A-frame, with three adjustor joints giving you angle and swing radius rather than one fixed position. Push it aside and it tucks back under the wheel mount.
It bolts to any 8020 or slot-style aluminium profile, which makes it a retrofit rather than a rebuild. It sits with the rest of the hardware mounts we carry.
Key features
- 620mm wide by 200mm deep working surface
- Swings aside and tucks back under the wheel mount
- Three adjustor joints for angle and swing radius
- Reinforced A-frame holds under force feedback loads
- Approximately 3mm plate construction
- Bolts to 8020 and slot-style aluminium profile
- Retrofits without modifying the frame
- Connector brackets and hardware included
Out of the way, not just out of the box
A tray that does not move is a tray you fight with. It sits where your knee wants to be during a stint, or it holds the keyboard somewhere you cannot reach without leaning, and eventually it comes off the rig.
The swivel is what makes this different. Multiple pivot points let you set both the angle and the swing radius, so you decide where it parks and where it lands when you pull it in.
That makes it usable mid-session. Swing it in for a pit strategy change, a checklist or a chat message, then push it aside before the lights go out.
Built to be leaned on
Six hundred and twenty millimetres is a real desk rather than a keyboard shelf. There is room for a full-size board and a mouse alongside it without the two competing, and enough surface left over for a phone or a drink.
The reinforced A-frame is there because a cantilevered surface on a sim rig lives a hard life. Force feedback puts vibration through the whole frame and a motion rig puts movement through it, and a plate hanging off one joint would flutter.
Plate thickness is around 3mm, which is what stops the surface flexing when you actually rest a wrist on it.
What it fits
Trak Racer designed it to integrate with their own extrusion rigs and with other brands, naming frames including the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK. It retrofits to any 8020 or slot-style aluminium profile frame.
It is not a tube-frame product. If your cockpit is an RS6, TR8 Pro or TRX, the free-standing keyboard tray is the one to look at instead.
The rest of the extrusion accessories are in the aluminium chassis rigs, and the wider catalogue in the racing simulator accessories.
Our expert take
"The swivel is the whole product. Fixed keyboard trays get removed within a month because they are always in the way of a knee or an elbow, and the ones that survive on a rig are the ones that move."
"Six hundred and twenty millimetres also makes this a work surface, not just a gaming one. A fair few of our customers run the rig in a home office and this is what lets the same corner do both jobs."

Frequently asked questions
How big is the surface?
620mm wide by 200mm deep, which takes a full-size keyboard with room for a mouse alongside it.
Does it move out of the way?
Yes. Three adjustor joints let you set the angle and swing radius, so it swings aside and slides back under the wheel mount when you are driving.
Which rigs does it fit?
Extrusion frames including the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK, plus any other 8020 or slot-style aluminium profile rig. It does not suit tube-frame cockpits.
Will it hold up to force feedback?
The reinforced A-frame and roughly 3mm plate are specified for exactly that. It is built to stay steady under wheelbase vibration and motion rig movement.
