Alpine livery, hybrid geometry
The HSX hybrid shell in high strength fibreglass, finished in the BWT Alpine Formula One Team colours. Alpine blue and black leather style cushions on a shell that works in either a formula or a GT seating position.
At 17kg it is a substantial seat, and the hybrid geometry means one shell covers two very different driving positions depending on how you bracket it. It fits the tube frame cockpits including the RS6, TR8 Pro, TRX, Porsche 91XTR and Carbon Fibre TRX, and the aluminium profile range covering the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK.

The livery, and what it is not
This is the official BWT Alpine Formula One Team edition, so the blue is the team blue rather than an approximation. If you have built an Alpine themed rig, this is the seat that matches it properly.
It is a fibreglass shell, not carbon. The HCF hybrid is the carbon version of the same two position idea if the material matters more to you than the livery.
Formula or GT from one shell
The hybrid geometry gives the shell enough base shape for a laid back formula position and enough back length for an upright GT one. The bracket angle you set decides which you end up in, and it can be changed later without buying another seat.
If you know you only ever race one discipline, a dedicated shell will always fit that discipline slightly better. The hybrid is for the majority who race more than one, or who have not decided yet.
Weight, and why it matters
Seventeen kilograms is heavy for a sim seat and that is not a criticism. Mass in the seat is mass that does not move when you brake, and a rigid heavy shell transmits less of your own body movement into the chassis.
It does mean you want the rig assembled and levelled before you fit it, and it is a two person job to place. Fit the brackets to the seat first, then lift the assembly into the frame. The rest of our racing seats range covers the fixed profile shells if you already know which discipline you race.
