The complete circle. No flat bottom, no cut away top, just 330mm of continuous rim, which is what you want the moment your hands need to keep moving around the wheel.
Rally, drift, historic racing and road cars all ask you to steer hand over hand. A round rim is the only shape that supports that without your palm finding a flat spot at the wrong moment. Aircraft grade aluminium spokes with moulded silicone hand grips, on a 6 x 70mm PCD bolt circle that matches the button hubs and quick releases most direct drive owners already run.

Why round still wins for some driving
A flat bottom is a compromise made for knee clearance in a car where the wheel barely turns. Take that constraint away and a circle is simply the better shape, because every part of the rim is the same distance from the centre and your hand lands on grip wherever it arrives.
In a rally stage you are turning the wheel a long way, quickly, and repeatedly. A flat section under your palm mid correction is the sort of thing you notice once and then cannot unnotice.
The flat-bottom alternatives
If your racing is mostly circuit based and your legs are close to the wheel, a flat bottom buys real clearance. The flat-bottom GT wheel is the same rim with the bottom flattened, and the open flat-bottom version removes the top as well for formula use.
All three share the 330mm diameter, the silicone grip and the 6 x 70mm PCD bolt circle, so the choice is purely shape.
Grip that survives a long stage
Silicone with an anti-slip texture, which keeps working when your hands are damp. On a long rally stage that is not a luxury, and it is the practical reason to choose silicone over a leather or suede wrap.
