Trak Racer 330mm Round Sim Racing Wheel
A round rim does one thing a flat-bottom cannot: it lets you keep turning past 180 degrees without your hands finding an edge. For rally, touring cars, trucks and drift, that matters more than any spec on the page. Trak Racer's 330mm round rim covers that job and sits in the same family as the rest of the Trak Racer range.
The diameter is 330mm, which keeps steering effort sensible under a strong wheelbase while leaving enough leverage for the large inputs those disciplines ask for. Aircraft-grade aluminium alloy runs through the core and spokes for rigidity without unnecessary rotating mass.
The grip is moulded silicone with an anti-slip texture, non-porous and comfortable to use without gloves, which suits a rim that gets slid through the hands rather than held in two fixed positions.
Key features
- 330mm (13 inch) round rim with a continuous grip surface
- Suited to rally, touring, truck and drift steering inputs
- Aircraft-grade aluminium alloy core and spokes
- Moulded silicone grips with an anti-slip texture
- Non-porous grip that resists sweat, dirt and bacteria
- Comfortable for hand-over-hand steering without gloves
- Standard 70mm PCD bolt pattern
- Lightweight construction for lower inertia and clearer feedback
The right shape for anything that needs more than half a turn
Flat-bottom rims exist because GT and formula cars rarely need more than a quarter turn of lock, so the base of the wheel is dead space worth reclaiming. The moment you drive something that does need lock, that flattened section becomes an obstacle your hands have to negotiate.
Rally stages, touring car saves, truck simulation and drift all live past that point. A continuous round rim lets the wheel run through your palms cleanly on the way in and gives you something to catch on the way out. If you run more than one discipline on one rig, this is the rim that will not fight you in any of them.
Silicone grip that stands up to being slid through the hands
Hand-over-hand steering is exactly the input that wears a suede rim out, because the grip surface is constantly moving under load rather than being held. Moulded silicone handles that far better.
It is non-porous, so sweat and skin oil sit on the surface instead of soaking in, and it wipes clean rather than going shiny and slick at the contact points. The texture holds without needing sim racing gloves, though it works well with them if you prefer the extra layer.
Our expert take
"If your rig sees more than one kind of racing, the round rim is the sensible default. GT drivers will be happier on the flat-bottom, but a round wheel is the only one of the three that is genuinely good at everything, and it is the one we recommend for anyone running rally or truck sim alongside circuit racing."
"The trade against a flat-bottom is knee room and dash visibility. In a tight cockpit or a low formula seating position you will notice the bottom of the rim in a way you would not with the open flat-bottom version. Worth measuring your setup before deciding."

Frequently asked questions
Does it come with a button hub?
No. This is a rim only, and it needs a button hub and quick release to reach a wheelbase. Both are sold separately, and the quick releases and button hubs page covers the options.
Is 330mm too small for rally?
It is a common rally sim size and a good compromise. A larger rim gives more leverage and a slower rate of steering for the same hand movement, which some rally drivers prefer, but it also demands more room and more arm movement. 330mm suits most rigs and most drivers.
Which hubs are confirmed to fit?
The standard 70mm PCD pattern covers Fanatec, MOZA, Simucube, Simagic, Ascher Racing, Cube Controls, Conspit, Pokornyi, SimCore, Sim Racing Bay, SimRacing Coach, Simsonn and HRS hubs. The Conspit H.AO and Cube Controls GTPRO need the supplied button spacer.
Will the silicone grip get slippery in a long session?
It should not. Silicone is non-porous, so it does not absorb sweat the way suede or leather does, and the anti-slip texture is what provides the grip rather than the material soaking anything up.
