The Simucube 2 Pro is the wheelbase a lot of the field measures itself against. 25Nm of torque, a 22-bit absolute angle sensor, and a torque slew rate of 8.0Nm per millisecond, which is the figure that decides how quickly the wheel can change what it is telling you.
Simucube build it in Finland and it has been in the range long enough that the software is mature rather than promising. Simucube Tuner detects your car and your simulator and switches profiles for you, and there are hundreds of community profiles if you would rather drive than tune.

What the slew rate figure actually means
Peak torque tells you how hard a wheelbase can pull. Slew rate tells you how fast it can change how hard it is pulling, and that is what you feel as detail. The Simucube 2 Pro is rated at 8.0Nm per millisecond and it is adjustable down to 1.0, so you can soften the onset if a car feels too sharp.
That 25Nm is continuous rather than peak. The base holds it until the motor gets genuinely hot, which normal driving does not reach. Our direct drive wheelbases pages cover the rest of the range if you are comparing, and the wider Simucube range sits alongside them.
The quick release is a separate purchase
The base ships with the wheelbase side of the Simucube Quick Release already fitted, plus the locking pin. The wheel side, the half that bolts to your steering wheel, is not in the box.
Choose the With Wheel Side QR option above and it is added for you. If you would rather buy it separately, or you need a second one so you can swap between two wheels, the Quick Release Wheel Side Kit is the part you want. Every Simucube steering wheel already comes with one.
Mounting and safety
Four M8 threaded holes on a 145mm pattern, with a 110mm centring flange, and the four M8x30 bolts are supplied. The base must be fixed to a rigid rig or table mount using all four screws, and other fixings should not be substituted.
A Standard Torque Off Button is in the box and it is mandatory rather than optional. Test it before every session, and never operate the quick release while the base is powered and the torque off button is not pressed. Do not set a torque level higher than you can safely hold one handed.

Is a quick release included?
The wheelbase side is fitted and the locking pin is supplied. The wheel side kit is separate, and you can add it using the option on this page.
How does it differ from the Simucube 3 Pro?
Both are rated at 25Nm. The Simucube 3 Pro uses a 23-bit sensor rather than 22-bit, a redesigned control algorithm, and it runs on the Simucube Link system, which needs a Link Hub.
What software does it use?
Simucube Tuner, which switches profiles automatically based on the car and the simulator you are running.
What is in the box?
The wheelbase, the power supply, all required cables, the Standard Torque Off Button, four M8x30 bolts and the pin for the Simucube Quick Release.
