PXN SF-SMG Sequential Shifter
The PXN SF-SMG is a sequential shifter for PC sim racing, built in aluminium alloy. Push forward or pull back to change gear, the way you would in a rally car, touring car or GT with a sequential gearbox.
A non-contact Hall magnetic sensor reads each shift, and the resistance can be adjusted to make the lever lighter or firmer. On the base, an LED display shows your current gear and two RGB backlit buttons can be set up in PXN SimRacing software.
It connects by USB to a PC or to a PXN wheel base, and is part of the PXN sim racing range.

A handle that does more than change gear
The SF-SMG handle is multi-functional. Alongside the push and pull of a sequential shift, it gives you quick access to neutral and reverse, so you are not reaching for a keyboard or wheel button to back out of a gravel trap.
Other in-game functions can be mapped to the handle too, keeping the controls you use most under one hand.
Hall sensor and adjustable resistance
Each shift is read by a Hall magnetic induction sensor. Because nothing physically rubs against the sensor, it picks up small inputs precisely and does not wear the way a contact switch can.
The resistance of the lever is adjustable, so you can set a light, quick action for fast upshifts or a firmer, more deliberate throw that feels closer to a race car gearbox.
Gear display and RGB buttons
An LED display on the base shows the gear you are in, which is handy in cars and sims where the in-game readout is small or hidden.
Two RGB backlit buttons sit beside the display. Their lighting and functions are set in PXN SimRacing software. For rally, pair the SF-SMG with the PXN HBS Full Metal Handbrake for a full stage setup.

What is the difference between the SF-SMG and the SF-U?
The SF-SMG is a sequential shifter: you push or pull to move up or down one gear. The PXN SF-U is a 7+R H-pattern shifter, where each gear has its own slot. Sequential suits rally, touring and GT cars, while an H-pattern suits road cars, classics and trucks. If you want both, the PXN SF-SH H-Pattern and Sequential Shifter switches between the two modes in one unit.
Does it work on PlayStation or Xbox?
PXN builds and markets the SF-SMG for PC. It connects by USB to a PC or a PXN wheel base.
Can I adjust how heavy the shift feels?
Yes. The shift resistance is adjustable, so you can make the lever lighter or firmer.
What does the LED display show?
It shows the gear you are currently in. The two RGB backlit buttons beside it can be configured in PXN SimRacing software.
