Turtle Beach VelocityOne Universal Sim Mount
A flight stick that slides across the desk mid-manoeuvre is a flight stick you cannot trust. The VelocityOne Universal Sim Mount is a steel clamp built to end that: three plates of rugged 3/16 inch steel, a desk clamp that takes tops up to 50mm, and over 230mm of vertical or horizontal adjustment to put the control where your hand actually sits.
It is deliberately not brand specific. As well as the VelocityOne range it takes flight sticks, throttles, racing shifters and handbrakes from Thrustmaster, Logitech and Saitek, Winwing, VKB, Virpil VPC, Virtual Fly and MOZA. It also bolts to aluminium extrusion rigs, so it moves from a desk setup to a cockpit without being replaced.
Assembly is three plates and the supplied hardware, and there is an integrated mousepad that attaches to the plate to keep a mouse off a crowded desk. The rest of the hardware mount collection covers rig-specific brackets if you need something more permanent.

Steel where it matters, adjustment where you need it
The reason this mount is heavier than it looks is the 3/16 inch steel. Under a hard pull on a stick or a firm shove on a shifter, a thin bracket flexes and every input after that lands slightly off. Thicker steel is the unglamorous fix.
Over 230mm of adjustment then lets you put the control where your arm naturally falls rather than where the desk edge happens to be. Drop a throttle low for a more authentic cockpit position, bring a stick up between your knees, or set a shifter high for a trucking-style position. The desk clamp handles tops up to 50mm, and the whole thing bolts to aluminium extrusion if the setup moves into a rig later.
One mount for flight, racing, trucking and farming
Compatibility is the point of the name. Alongside the VelocityOne range, the mounting pattern takes hardware from Thrustmaster, Logitech and Saitek, Winwing, VKB, Virpil VPC, Virtual Fly and MOZA, which covers most of what people actually own.
That means it does not become redundant when the rest of the setup changes. The same mount that holds a flight stick this month holds a sequential shifter or a handbrake next month, which is worth knowing if you run more than one type of sim. If it is a shifter you are mounting, the flight simulator accessories collection has options built for specific rigs.
Our expert take
"We have had this on the benches at our Dandenong showroom for a while and the 3/16 inch steel is what separates it from the thin brackets that come free with some hardware. Under load it does not flex, and that is the entire job. We have moved ours between a flight stick, a throttle and a shifter without it complaining once."
"Worth checking before you order: the desk clamp tops out at 50mm, and we measured a few desks in the showroom before it sat where we wanted it. If your benchtop is on the chunky side, measure first or plan to bolt it to an extrusion rig instead."

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my desk?
The clamp takes desk tops up to 50mm thick. That covers most standard and sit-stand desks. If yours is thicker, or has a deep front rail or a rounded edge, measure before ordering. It also bolts directly to aluminium extrusion rigs as an alternative.
Does it only work with Turtle Beach hardware?
No. It is designed around the VelocityOne range but supports a broad list of third-party peripherals including Thrustmaster, Logitech and Saitek, Winwing, VKB, Virpil VPC, Virtual Fly and MOZA. It takes flight sticks, throttles, racing shifters and handbrakes.
Can I use it for sim racing rather than flight?
Yes. Mounting a sequential shifter or a handbrake is one of its intended uses, and the height range suits a trucking-style elevated position as well as a conventional one. The hardware mount collection has rig-specific alternatives if you want something bolted rather than clamped.
How hard is it to assemble?
It is three steel plates plus the supplied bolts and wing nuts, and a hex tool is included. Set your mounting position, clamp it to the desk, adjust and you are done.
