Description

The whole rig, moving

A 200W stereo transducer amplifier, a 100W haptic bass shaker and the rig mount to fit it. This is the chassis kit: one high output unit bolted to the seat bracket or the side of the frame, so the whole cockpit carries the feedback.

The amplifier runs two 100W stereo outputs, which means one channel is free from day one. Add a second 100W shaker later and you have a stereo tactile setup without touching the amp.

Trak Racer V2 Pro 200W amplifier and bass shaker kit

Key features

  • 200W stereo Class-D amplifier
  • 2 x 100W stereo outputs
  • 100W haptic bass shaker included
  • Rig mount included
  • Bonus wired remote control
  • RCA and 3.5mm stereo inputs

What the shaker does

The TR-BSA100 moves actual mass rather than air, which is the difference between a transducer and a subwoofer. A sub loses force and precision as it pushes air around a room. A transducer puts its energy straight into whatever it is bolted to.

Its underside carries a layer of vibration dampening material, so the feedback goes into the mounting point rather than spreading through everything nearby. One unit on a seat bracket is enough to feel engine load, kerbs, impacts and road texture through your whole body.

The amplifier and the remote

Front panel controls cover power, independent volume for each channel, a high cutoff low pass switch, a low cutoff high pass switch and a frequency adjustment knob, plus a 3.5mm jack for the supplied wired remote. The back panel carries left and right RCA inputs, a 3.5mm stereo input, speaker outputs and the mains connection at 100 to 240V.

The remote is the part people end up appreciating. It sets intensity from where you sit rather than from under the rig, and the two Trak Racer logo rubbers pull off so you can mount it anywhere without screws.

Filling the second channel

Half the amplifier is unused as supplied. An additional 100W Pro haptic bass shaker uses the other channel, and two units on a chassis let you separate left and right so a kerb on one side actually feels like it is on that side.

If you want detail at the controls rather than more force in the frame, the 4 channel 40W kit is the other half of a complete setup. Our racing simulator seats pages cover the brackets these mounts attach to. Our haptic systems pages compare the amplifier kits side by side if you are weighing this against the four channel option.

Our expert take

"Start here if you are buying your first haptics. One 100W unit on the seat bracket is the single biggest jump in immersion you can make for the money, and the free channel means your next upgrade costs you a shaker rather than another amplifier. The remote is not a gimmick either, because you will change the level between a night race and a Sunday afternoon."
