Description

Trak Racer Freestanding Triple Monitor Stand (32" to 45")

Three large panels is where triples stop being a novelty and start being a windscreen. At 32 to 45 inches per screen the horizon runs properly into your peripheral vision, and the bezels sit far enough out that you stop noticing them.

This is the larger of Trak Racer's two triple frames, built on the same heavy-duty 2 inch steel tube and adjustable in width across that 32 to 45 inch range.

It stands on its own legs, so the cockpit carries none of the load and none of the vibration reaches the panels. It sits with the rest of the sim racing monitor stands.

Key features

  • Carries three displays from 32 to 45 inches
  • Heavy-duty 2 inch steel tube frame
  • Adjustable width across the size range
  • VESA 75 and 100mm compatibility
  • Optional overhead mount for a quad setup
  • Freestanding, so no vibration transfer from the rig
  • Minimal flex for consistent monitor alignment
  • Mounting hardware included

The size where triples make sense

A triple only works when the side screens angle in toward the driver. Flat, three panels behave as one very wide display with a broken horizon at every bezel, which is worse than a single screen and the most common mistake in a first triple build.

This frame sets that geometry across a 32 to 45 inch range, with adjustable width so it closes around the panels you actually own rather than leaving them stranded at the corners.

Three 45 inch screens is a genuinely large array. Measure the wall and the depth behind the rig before ordering, because this is the frame that most often runs out of room rather than capability.

Check your VESA before you check the size

This is the specification that catches people out. The stand supports VESA 75 and 100mm, which covers almost every computer monitor made, and does not extend to the 200, 300 and 400mm patterns that televisions use.

So a 45 inch monitor is fine and a 45 inch television very likely is not. The size range and the VESA range are separate questions, and the second one is the one that decides whether your panels bolt on.

If you are running televisions rather than monitors, tell us the model and we will find you a frame that takes the pattern.

Steel tube and alignment

The 2 inch steel tube frame is specified for minimal flex, and on a triple that shows up as alignment rather than safety. Three panels only read as one continuous image while they stay in the same plane relative to each other.

A frame that moves lets the outer screens drift relative to the centre, and the horizon steps at the bezel. It is subtle, and it is exactly the sort of thing that makes a setup feel wrong without you being able to name why. At 45 inches per panel there is a lot more leverage working on the frame than at 32.

An optional overhead mount adds a fourth screen above the centre panel if you want telemetry or instruments later. It is sold separately.

Which triple frame you need

Trak Racer make two freestanding triples and the split is purely screen size. This one covers 32 to 45 inches. The 22 to 32 inch version covers 22 to 32 inches. Both use the same 2 inch steel tube, the same VESA 75 and 100mm range, the same adjustable width and the same optional overhead mount.

So pick by the panels you own, not by the frame specification, because everything except the size range is identical between them.

Because it is freestanding it works alongside effectively any cockpit, including the tube frames such as the FS3, RS6, TR8 PRO, TRX, Porsche 91XTR, Carbon Fibre TRX, TR5, TRF, Aston Martin AMR26, TR2, TR3, TR4 and the Hot Wheels HW2, HW3 and HW5 and the extrusion frames such as the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK, and rigs from other brands.

Our expert take

"Thirty-two to forty-five is the range where a triple genuinely replaces a windscreen rather than approximating one. It is also the range where people most often discover their room is the limiting factor, so measure the depth behind the rig before you fall in love with the idea."

"Check the VESA pattern before anything else on this one. Seventy-five and one hundred millimetres covers monitors comprehensively and televisions barely at all, and a 43 inch TV is exactly the panel someone buys for a build like this."

Frequently asked questions

What screen sizes does it take?

Three displays from 32 to 45 inches, with adjustable width across that range.

What VESA patterns does it support?

75 and 100mm. That covers almost every monitor but not most televisions, so check your panels before ordering.

How is it different to the 22 to 32 inch stand?

Only the screen size range. The 22 to 32 inch version shares the same 2 inch steel tube frame, VESA range, adjustable width and optional overhead mount.

Can I add a fourth screen?

Yes. An optional overhead mount creates a quad setup above the centre panel, sold separately.
