200 x 40mm, because 160 was not enough
The industry settled on 160mm extrusion as the benchmark for a serious sim racing chassis. The TR200 goes past it. A 200 x 40mm aluminium profile is more mass, more section and less flex, and Trak Racer call this the most rigid cockpit they have built.
It is a frame rather than a complete package. You get the chassis, the TR One V3 wheel mounting system with slider, the hybrid pedal mount and the premium seat slider running kit. The seat, the electronics and the monitor stand are separate choices.
Key features
- 200 x 40mm extruded aluminium chassis
- Reversible 5-slot or 2-slot profile
- No stated wheelbase torque limit
- TR One V3 wheel mount with slider
- Tool-free hybrid pedal mount
- Height adjustable seat base mount
The reversible extrusion
One side of the profile carries five slots, the other carries two. Which way you build it is your call. The five slot side gives you the most places to bolt things, which is what you want if the rig will grow, and the two slot side gives a cleaner look with fewer visible channels.
That choice is made at assembly rather than at purchase, so it is not something you have to commit to before the cockpit arrives. Our aluminium chassis rigs pages cover the rest of the extruded profile range if you want to compare sections.
What it will take
There is no stated torque limit on this chassis, which is not true of anything else in the range. The wheel mount is the TR One V3 system with a slider, built so that upgrading to a different wheelbase means replacing part of the mount rather than the whole thing.
Front mount, wheelbase deck and side mount options between them cover Simucube SC1 through SC3, Simagic Alpha and EVO, Fanatec Podium and Clubsport, Moza R and Ultra series, Asetek, VNM, Thrustmaster and Logitech. The frame supports drivers up to 7 foot 2.
Pedals, and the seat you bring
The hybrid pedal mount is the tool-free type, so it moves between GT, Formula and inverted positions without an allen key. The chassis takes hundreds of kilograms of braking force without flexing, which is the whole point of a 200mm section under a load cell set.
The seat base mount is height adjustable and the premium seat slider running kit is part of the package, but the seat itself is not, and neither is a monitor stand. Our racing simulator seats pages cover what bolts on, and our sim racing monitor stands range covers the screens. Our racing simulator cockpits pages compare the full cockpit range if you are weighing sections against each other.
Our expert take
"A 200mm section is overkill for most people and I would say so to anyone spending the money. Where it earns its place is a 25nm plus base with a hydraulic brake, or a commercial rig that gets driven hard by people who did not pay for it. If that is not you, a 160mm cockpit will not let you down."

Frequently asked questions
Is a seat included?
No. The premium seat slider running kit and a height adjustable seat base mount are part of the frame, but the seat is chosen separately.
What wheelbase can it handle?
There is no stated torque limit on this chassis. The TR One V3 mounting system covers front mount, wheelbase deck and side mount options across the major brands.
What does the reversible profile do?
The extrusion has five slots on one side and two on the other. Build it with the five slot side out for maximum mounting flexibility, or the two slot side out for a cleaner look.
Is a monitor stand included?
No. Monitor stands are a separate purchase, as are the wheelbase, pedals and other electronics.
