Side mounted, for the Alpha EVO family
The Simagic Alpha EVO range mounts from the sides rather than the front, and this is the complete TR One V3 kit built around that. It covers the Alpha EVO Sport, Alpha EVO, Alpha EVO Pro and Alpha EVO Ultra.
Side mounting cradles the wheelbase between two plates instead of hanging it off a single face, which suits the way the EVO housing is designed. The kit fits the aluminium chassis rigs across the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK frames.

Alpha EVO is not the same as Alpha
This is the single most common mix up in the Simagic range. The Alpha, Alpha Mini and Alpha Ultimate front mount and take a completely different plate. The Alpha EVO family side mounts and takes this one. The names are close and the hardware is not interchangeable.
If you own an Alpha rather than an Alpha EVO, the front mount kit is the one you need. Check the badge on your base before ordering either.
Why side mounting suits the EVO
Cradling the base between two plates spreads the load across both sides of the housing rather than concentrating it on one mounting face. On a high torque base that is a meaningful difference in how solid the wheel feels under load.
It also leaves the front of the wheelbase clear, so quick release hardware and cabling stay accessible without reaching around a plate.
Kit or plates alone
There is a cheaper listing that is the side plates only. It is designed for owners who already have a TR One mounting system fitted to the rig, and on its own it will not mount anything. If that describes you, the V2 side mount plates are the part to buy.
If you are starting from a bare cockpit, buy this kit. It contains the base structure as well as the plates. The 2-Way name refers to how the 120x40mm extrusion is oriented, not to where the wheelbase sits. Run it vertically and you free up leg and knee clearance for a formula seating position. Turn it horizontally and you gain a broad flat span for a dashboard, a button box or a small display.
