Twenty in a set is the useful quantity. A build consumes fasteners faster than anyone expects, and running out three brackets from the end with the rig half assembled is a bad afternoon.

Why twenty rather than six
Six is a repair quantity. Twenty is a build quantity. If you are assembling a rig, adding a monitor stand, or fitting out a chassis with brackets and mounts, you will get through most of a set of twenty and be glad of the spares.
It is also the size to keep on hand once the rig is built. Every accessory added later wants fasteners, and having a box of the standard size in the drawer means a new bracket goes on the evening it arrives rather than the following weekend.
