Description

Trak Racer Cockpit-Mounted Dual Monitor Stand

Two screens is an underrated place to land. You get most of the peripheral vision that makes triples worth having, without the alignment work, the desk space or the graphics card that a third panel demands. This stand mounts that pair to the cockpit itself, and sits with the other sim racing monitor stands we stock.

Because it bolts to the rig rather than standing on the floor, the screens sit closer to the wheel and stay fixed relative to your eyes. Height, depth and angle adjust per monitor, so the two panels can be squared to each other and angled in toward the driver.

The frame is aluminium profile, built to carry standard and ultrawide panels without the flex a freestanding stand shows under a hard braking input.

Key features

  • Holds two displays in a side-by-side configuration
  • Mounts directly to aluminium profile cockpits
  • Height, depth and angle adjustable per monitor
  • Supports standard and ultrawide panels
  • Aluminium profile construction with minimal flex
  • Keeps screens fixed relative to the seating position
  • Fits Trak Racer extrusion frames and most other branded rigs
  • Suits sim racing, flight simulation and truck simulation

Where two screens beats one, and beats three

A single screen gives you the road ahead. Triples give you the apex you are turning toward and the car alongside. Two screens sit between those, and for a lot of drivers that is the honest sweet spot: a genuinely wider field of view without the cost, the space or the bezel-matching.

It suits flight simulation and truck simulation particularly well, where a wide instrument panel or a long mirror sightline matters more than a perfectly symmetrical wraparound. Titles like iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Microsoft Flight Simulator, DCS and Euro Truck Simulator all handle a dual layout natively.

Cockpit-mounted, so the geometry stays put

Mounting to the rig rather than the floor does two things. It brings the screens closer to the wheel, which is where field of view calculations want them, and it removes the flex a freestanding stand shows when the whole cockpit shifts under braking.

It also means the screens keep their position relative to your eyes when the seat moves. On a shared rig, that saves re-aiming the displays for each driver. Pair it with an adjustable VESA adapter if the two panels need fine alignment, and see the racing simulator accessories for the rest of the ecosystem.

Fitment, and the upgrade path

The stand is built for Trak Racer extrusion frames including the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK, and works with most other aluminium profile rigs. Check your frame dimensions against the stand before ordering if you are on another brand.

If you later decide two screens is not enough, the cockpit itself carries over and the stand is what changes, so this is not a dead end in the way a width-limited single stand is. The aluminium chassis rigs pages show what a triple setup asks of the rig.

Our expert take

"Dual is the configuration we would recommend to more people than currently buy it. You get most of the peripheral awareness triples give you, and you skip the two things that make triples annoying: matching three panels and finding a graphics card that will drive them."

"The honest caveat is that Trak Racer does not publish a maximum display size or a weight rating for this stand, so if you are hanging two large or heavy panels, ask us before ordering rather than assuming. Two mid-size monitors is comfortably within what it is built for."

- Blake Sterling, Founder & CEO, Gamer Gear Direct

Frequently asked questions

Which rigs does it fit?

Trak Racer extrusion frames including the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK, and most other aluminium profile sim rigs. Compare your frame dimensions against the stand first if you are on another brand, or ask us and we will check it.

What size monitors will it take?

It supports standard and ultrawide panels. Trak Racer does not publish a maximum display size or weight rating for this stand, so we will not quote one. If your panels are large or heavy, ask us before ordering.

Can each screen be adjusted separately?

Yes. Height, depth and angle adjust per monitor, which is what lets you square the two panels to each other and angle them in toward the driver.

Why choose cockpit-mounted over freestanding?

The screens move with the rig, sit closer to your controls and keep a fixed distance from your eyes, which is what makes a field of view setting meaningful. A freestanding stand is more flexible across different setups and transfers less vibration, so it depends which matters more to you.
