Trak Racer Caster Wheel & Brake Kit for TR8 Pro & TRX
This is the mobility kit made for Trak Racer's tube-frame cockpits rather than their extrusion rigs. Fit it to a TR8 Pro or a TRX and the cockpit rolls where you want it, then locks in place for the session. It sits with the racing simulator accessories we carry.
Integrated brakes are the important half. A rig that moves under braking load is worse than one that does not move at all, so the wheels lock and the cockpit sits still while you drive.
It is built for hard floors: timber, tile, concrete and laminate.

Made for tube frames, not extrusion
Trak Racer makes two caster solutions and they are not interchangeable. The four-wheel universal set bolts to 8mm T-slot on extrusion cockpits. This kit is the one for the tube-frame rigs, the TR8 Pro and the TRX.
If you are unsure which family your cockpit belongs to, the quick test is whether the frame is square aluminium profile with slots down each face, or round and welded. Ask us if you want it confirmed against the racing simulator range before ordering.
Hard floors only, and that is worth knowing up front
Trak Racer states plainly that this kit is built for flat hard surfaces and is not designed for carpet. Carpet reduces rolling performance and, more importantly, stability, because a caster that sinks into pile does not sit square under load.
If your sim room is carpeted, the fix is a rigid floor board or platform under the cockpit, which also helps with pedal stability. Worth planning before the kit arrives rather than after.

Which cockpits does it fit?
It is made for Trak Racer tube-frame cockpits, specifically the TR8 Pro and TRX. For extrusion frames, the universal caster set of four is the one you want.
Will it work on carpet?
No. Trak Racer states it is built for flat hard surfaces such as timber, tile, concrete and laminate, and is not designed for carpet. On a carpeted floor, use a rigid board or platform under the cockpit.
Do the wheels lock?
Yes. Integrated brakes hold the cockpit stationary during racing, braking, cornering and heavy flight inputs.
How is it different from the caster set of four?
That set is for 8mm T-slot extrusion frames and comes with a full specification and a 60kg per wheel rating. This kit is the tube-frame equivalent for the TR8 Pro and TRX. Both are in the racing simulator accessories.
