Liquid Blue, and built to switch
Trak Racer has been the official simulator supplier to the Alpine Formula One team since 2020, and the TRA is what that partnership produced. A 160 x 40mm extruded aluminium chassis finished in BWT Alpine Formula One Team Liquid Blue, with pink dust strips and a team sim floor.
The livery is the part you see first, but the engineering is the reason to buy it. The TRA is a hybrid cockpit, which here means it changes between a low slung Formula position and an upright GT position without tools, using quick-release pedal and seat mounts.

What hybrid actually means here
Two driving positions from one frame. The pedal plate adjusts for angle and distance without tools, the seat brackets and slider rails move with quick-adjust levers, and the wheel mount flips between flat and upright orientations. Together those three changes take you from a reclined Formula seating position to an upright GT one in a matter of seconds.
The wheel mount is the clever part. Flipping it between vertical and horizontal changes your legroom and widens what you can bolt to the extrusion, rather than just moving the wheel up and down. Our racing simulator cockpits pages cover the cockpits that do not offer this.
The chassis, and what it will take
160 x 40mm extruded aluminium is a serious section, and it is there for one reason: high torque direct drive bases and load cell pedals put loads into a frame that lighter cockpits flex under. Front mount, wheelbase deck and side mount options between them cover Simucube, Simagic, Fanatec, Moza, Asetek, VNM, Thrustmaster, Logitech and Trak Racer's own direct drive bases.
Peripheral side chassis supports are part of the package, so shifters and handbrakes have somewhere solid to go. Our aluminium chassis rigs pages cover the rest of the extruded profile range.
What comes with it, and what does not
Included: the chassis, the hybrid Formula and GT pedal mount with slider, peripheral side supports, the BWT Alpine Formula One Team sim floor, seat slider rails and adjustment bar, adjustable seat brackets, a mountable wireless phone charger, a headphone and VR hook, a cup holder, a keyboard holder, four adjustable feet, cable ties and the pink dust strips. Screws, brackets and an assembly tool kit are in the box.
Not included: the seat. The rails and brackets are supplied but the seat itself is a separate choice, which is deliberate on a cockpit at this level because seat preference is personal. Is a seat included?
No. The seat slider rails, adjustment bar and adjustable seat brackets are supplied, but the seat itself is chosen separately.
What does hybrid mean on this cockpit?
It switches between a reclined Formula driving position and an upright GT one without tools, using quick-release pedal and seat mounts and a wheel mount that flips orientation.
