Asetek wheelbases mount differently to most, which is why a rig that takes everything else will not take one without an adapter. This plate is that adapter, cut from thick carbon steel rather than aluminium because a high torque base is the last place you want flex. It sits with the quick releases and wheel mounts we stock.
It covers the Asetek SimSports line: Initium, Initium+, La Prima, La Prima+, Forte, Invicta and the Tony Kanaan edition. Trak Racer also lists it as compatible with Thrustmaster wheelbases.
Position is fully adjustable, so the base can be set at the height and angle that suits your seating position rather than wherever the plate happens to land.
An adapter sits between the wheelbase and the deck, which makes it the thinnest part of the load path and the first place flex shows up. Under an Invicta or a Forte that flex reaches your hands as vagueness where there should be detail.
Trak Racer cuts this one from thick carbon steel rather than folded aluminium. It is heavier than it needs to be for the weight it carries, and that is the point: the plate stops being a variable so the feedback you get is the feedback the base is producing. Browse the direct drive wheelbases if you are still choosing a wheelbase.
It fits all Trak Racer wheel decks and most branded cockpits that use a wheel plate, across the tube frames including the RS6, TR8 PRO, TR5, TRF, Aston Martin AMR26, TR2, TR3, TR4 and the Hot Wheels frames, plus the TR80S, TR40S and TRK extrusion frames.
Mounting hardware is not supplied with this adapter, which is worth knowing before it arrives. Tell us which wheelbase and which rig you are fitting it to and we will make sure the right fasteners go out with your order.
"If you run an Asetek base on a Trak Racer deck, this is the part that makes it work, and the choice of thick carbon steel over aluminium is the right one at the torque these bases produce."
"Two things. The mounting hardware is not included, so ask us and we will sort the fasteners with your order rather than leaving you a bolt short on assembly day. And while Trak Racer lists Thrustmaster compatibility, they name no specific Thrustmaster models, so check with us before buying it for one."

Generally yes, provided the cockpit has a wheel plate. It fits all Trak Racer wheel decks and most branded rigs that use one. Ask us if you want yours confirmed against the racing simulator range.
Trak Racer lists Thrustmaster compatibility but names no specific models, so we would rather confirm your exact base with them before you order than have you guess.
