Description

The long arms, for big screens

The 980mm version of the add-on arm set, in 80mm by 40mm extruded aluminium. Nearly 400mm longer than the standard arms, which is what allows screens up to 55 inches to sit beside a centre monitor without the bezels colliding.

Two arms per set, each with a VESA mount. It clamps to an existing horizontal 80mm by 40mm aluminium extrusion with an 8mm T-slot, which is the profile Trak Racer's aluminium monitor stands are built from.

Trak Racer 980mm add-on triple monitor arms

Key features

  • Two arms per set
  • 980mm arm length
  • 80mm by 40mm extruded aluminium
  • Suits monitors up to 55 inches
  • VESA 75 and 100 as standard
  • 150, 200, 300 and 400 via included extension brackets

When you need the length

A 55 inch screen is over 1.2 metres wide. Two of them either side of a centre panel need arms long enough to carry that width without the screens overlapping, and 580mm is not enough.

The other reason to go long is field of view. Longer arms let you angle the side screens further around you, which is what makes a triple setup feel wide rather than just wide screen. If your panels are 34 inches or smaller, the 580mm arms will do the job for less.

Plan the physical space first

Long arms need floor space and wall clearance. Measure the width you have available before ordering, and remember the screens will angle inward, so the widest point is not the same as the arm length doubled.

Weight matters too on a long arm. Larger screens are heavier and the load sits further from the mounting point, so make sure the stand underneath is properly braced. Our sim racing monitor stands range includes the leg kits and centre pieces that go with these arms.

Extrusion, not tube

Like the shorter version, these are aluminium extrusion arms and clamp into an 8mm T-slot. They will not attach to a steel tube stand.

If your stand is tube rather than profile, the steel side arms are the equivalent part in that family, though they cover a different screen size range.

Our expert take

"Long arms are a commitment. They look superb and the field of view is genuinely better, but you need the room and you need a properly braced stand underneath. Measure the wall before you order, not after."

Frequently asked questions

What size monitors do these take?

Up to 55 inches per arm.

How long are the arms?

980mm each, and two are supplied.

Are VESA extension brackets included?

Yes. VESA 75 and 100 are standard, and extension brackets for 150, 200, 300 and 400 patterns are included.

Do I need a stronger stand for these?

The arms clamp to an existing 80x40mm aluminium extrusion. Because larger screens sit further from the mounting point, make sure the stand is properly braced, and consider a leg support kit if it is freestanding.
