Description

Trak Racer 10W Pro Haptic Bass Shaker (Set of 2)

Two compact tactile transducers meant for a job the big shakers cannot do: mounting directly to your pedals, shifter and handbrake so the feedback arrives where your hands and feet actually are.

That distinction matters more than the wattage suggests. In a real car you read grip, ABS and drivetrain load through your feet and hands, not through your back. A shaker bolted to the pedal plate gives you ABS chatter and lockup cues you can act on, which is far easier to interpret than the same information smeared through the whole seat.

Each unit runs 10W nominal and 20W peak from 33Hz to 100Hz, in a 98mm square body 31mm deep. Brackets, fasteners and tools are included. See the wider haptic systems range.

Key features

  • 2x 10W tactile transducers
  • 2m of speaker wire
  • Mounting brackets and full fastener kit
  • Installation tools included
  • 10W nominal, 20W maximum input
  • Effective range 33Hz to 100Hz
  • 8 ohm rated AC impedance
  • Compact 98 x 98 x 31mm body

Pedals, shifter, handbrake: what each one gives you

On the pedals you get ABS activation through the brake, the moment of lockup as you pass the threshold, wheelspin through the throttle, and the road texture underneath. That is the highest-value mounting point of the three, because braking is where most lap time is found and lost.

On a shifter the shaker adds mechanical engagement through each gear change and drivetrain vibration under load, which cures the dead feel of static hardware in H-pattern and sequential setups. On a handbrake it gives you rear slip and surface feel, which is genuinely useful for timing a drift or a rally hairpin. Have a look at the pedals, shifters and handbrakes they attach to.

Small on purpose

Ten watts sounds modest next to a 100W chassis shaker, and it is meant to. A control-mounted transducer has to move a pedal face or a shifter body, not a whole rig and a driver, so the power that would be right for the floor would just be noise here.

The practical upside is that these are quiet. A big shaker excites the room as much as the rig, which is a real problem in an apartment or a shared house at night. These stay local, draw very little power and run happily off a compact amp. With software like SimHub you can tune each one separately by effect and frequency so the cues stay clean instead of blurring into each other.

One thing to plan for: like all transducers, they need an amplifier, sold separately.

Frequently asked questions

How many shakers are in the set?

Two, along with 2m of speaker wire, mounting brackets, a full fastener kit and installation tools.

Where do they mount?

Directly to pedals, shifters and handbrakes, or to cockpit frames and seats where a compact transducer suits.

Do I need an amplifier?

Yes. These are transducers, not powered speakers. A dedicated low-frequency amplifier is required and sold separately.

Should I buy these or the 100W shaker?

Different jobs. The 100W moves the whole rig for deep, body-felt effects; these give localised detail at the controls. Many rigs run both. See the racing simulator accessories range.
