Description
Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Space Sim Duo
The Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Space Sim Duo puts two T.16000M FCS joysticks in one box, so you can fly with a stick in each hand. It is built for space sims on PC, where dual-stick control gives you full six-degree movement.
Each stick has 16 action buttons, an 8-way hat switch, a twist rudder and Thrustmaster's H.E.A.R.T magnetic sensors on pitch and roll.
Both sticks are fully ambidextrous, so the pair can be set up for left and right hands. It is part of the Thrustmaster range.
Key features
- Two T.16000M FCS joysticks
- Built for dual-stick space sims
- H.E.A.R.T magnetic sensors on each stick
- 16 action buttons per stick
- Braille-style button identification
- 8-way hat switch on each stick
- Ambidextrous, left or right configuration
- Twist rudder on each stick
- Replacement thumb and finger rests included
- T.A.R.G.E.T programming software on PC
One stick in each hand
Space sims ask for more movement than a single stick can give. With the Space Sim Duo, one stick handles pitch, roll and yaw while the other takes care of strafing, lift and thrust.
A switch on each base sets its 12 base buttons for left or right-handed use, so both sticks mirror each other properly.
Magnetic precision
Thrustmaster's H.E.A.R.T HallEffect AccuRate Technology uses 3D magnetic sensors inside each stick. Thrustmaster quotes precision 256 times greater than conventional devices, with a friction-free mechanism that stays accurate over time.
A 2.8mm helical spring inside each stick gives firm, linear and smooth tension.
Plenty of controls
Each joystick has 16 action buttons: 12 on the base and 4 on the stick, with braille-style identification on the base buttons so you can find them by feel. Each also has an 8-way point of view hat switch.
The free T.A.R.G.E.T software on PC can combine both sticks with other Thrustmaster devices, such as the Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals (TFRP), and program up to 256 buttons.
Our expert take
"Dual sticks are the way to fly Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous properly, and the Space Sim Duo is an easy, well-priced way to get there. Two magnetic-sensor sticks with mirrored button layouts out of the box saves a lot of setup."
"There is no throttle lever here, so if you also fly jets or airliners you may prefer a HOTAS. It is PC only. See our joysticks range for single-stick options."
