Works well and as expected. I’ve owned this model before and due to a design flaw an internal part will wear out eventually and will have to be replaced or repaired. As all mechanical things wear out eventually, this is not a big knock against this product. I got two good years out of my last one, and this particular model is by far the most ergonomically capable and dexterous in its price range.
I fly with my left hand in a real airplane. This allows me to do that. The changeover to left-handed operation is as simple as loosening a screw, rotating the hand rest 180 degrees, prying out the right-handed thumb rest and screwing in the supplied left hand parts. I love it. I feel like I'm in a real plane.
Design, feel, material quality buttons axis all work great with many games, the only con is that it is too responsive, you have to lower the sensitivity, at least for me it is too fast.
These are the best joysticks you can get for this price if you need a left-handed stick. For right hand, the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is higher quality, but if you are doing a HOSAS it HOTAS setup, these are amazing for the price. Ambidextrous out of the box and a good sensor. Highly recommended until you feel like stepping up to a Virpil or similar high end stick.
Sticks work well for a while. But apparently you get what you pay for, because the twist axis almost always dies after about a month or two of use. I now have three of these sticks. I started with two, then the left stick started throwing random twist-axis inputs. So I replaced it with a new one. Now, a few months later, both the new stick and the old right stick are doing the same thing. I have to set up a huge dead zone which makes them almost useless.IMHO, it's not worth replacing again, even at the $50 price they're selling for right now. If I replaced both of my sticks now I'd have five total hanging around here. And eventually I'd expect the new ones to break in the same way.I'm going to buy some Virpils and spend money on something that'll last, and has more controls, etc.
