The throttle or clutch beside it
The Co-Pedal is the passive half of a Simucube pedal set. It has no motor and no force feedback, and it is built to sit alongside an ActivePedal and give you a throttle or a clutch with the same build quality and the same adjustment.
It measures angle rather than force, using a hall sensor, which is how throttle and clutch pedals work in a real race car. That removes dead zones and keeps the response consistent all the way through the travel.
Key features
- Passive pedal, no force feedback
- Configurable as throttle or clutch
- Hall angle sensor, not a load cell
- Travel adjustable 30, 50 or 70mm
- Arc profile system, swaps in about a minute
- Ships preassembled as a throttle
One pedal, one job at a time
A Co-Pedal is a single pedal. It arrives set up as a throttle, and the box includes the clutch spring, the clutch pedal face and the clutch Arc profile so you can convert it.
What it will not do is be both at once. If you want a throttle and a clutch, you buy two Co-Pedals. Worth knowing before you order one and expect a pair.
Arc profiles, and how the feel is set
Inside the pedal is a cam, the Arc profile, working against a spring. The linear Arc gives a smooth progressive throttle. The engagement Arc gives a clutch with a distinct bite point, which is the thing that makes a standing start repeatable.
Swapping between them is a physical change rather than a software one, and it is about a sixty second job. Maximum force is 11kg as a throttle and 25kg as a clutch, both at full preload and 70mm of travel.
Six things you can adjust
Preload, travel length, stem length, pedal angle, pedal face angle and pedal face height. Travel sets at 30, 50 or 70mm, rest angle runs 4 to 14 degrees, and preload covers 0 to 13mm, which is roughly zero to 5kg.
That is a lot of adjustment for a passive pedal, and it is the reason this sits alongside an ActivePedal rather than under it. Our sim racing pedals pages cover the alternatives if you want a conventional load cell set.
What it connects to
An ActivePedal. The only cable in the box is a 60cm RJ25 lead to connect to one, and Simucube list the ActivePedal Pro and the ActivePedal Ultimate as its compatibility. The Co-Pedal has no power supply and no USB port of its own.
So it plugs into one of the two passive pedal inputs on an ActivePedal Pro rather than into your PC. Our racing controls range covers the wider control set.
Our expert take
"Angle sensing on the throttle is the right call and it is what the real cars do. A load cell throttle sounds impressive but your foot does not modulate force well at low pressure, it modulates position. This will feel more natural to anyone who has driven a real car quickly."

Frequently asked questions
Does it work on its own?
No. It connects by RJ25 to an ActivePedal, which is required. It has no power supply and no USB connection of its own.
Is it a throttle or a clutch?
Either, but one at a time. It arrives assembled as a throttle and the clutch spring, face and Arc profile are in the box. For both, you need two Co-Pedals.
Does it have force feedback?
No. It is a passive pedal. The feel comes from a spring working against a swappable Arc profile.
How much force does it take?
Up to 11kg as a throttle and 25kg as a clutch, both measured at full preload and 70mm of travel.
