PXN ZD1 Handbrake Desk Clamp
The PXN ZD1 is a desk clamp bracket for the PXN HBS Full Metal Handbrake. The HBS is built to bolt to a rig or stand and does not come with a clamp, so the ZD1 is what lets you run it from a desk instead.
The bracket is CNC-machined carbon steel, and it grips the desk with two separate clamps rather than one, which stops the handbrake rocking or twisting when you pull it hard. EVA pads on the clamp faces protect the desk surface.
It suits desks and tables up to 7cm thick. It is part of the PXN sim racing range.
Key features
- Desk clamp bracket for the PXN HBS handbrake
- CNC-machined carbon steel
- Dual clamps to stop wobble under load
- EVA pads protect the desk surface
- Fits desks up to 7cm thick
- Black finish to match the HBS
Two clamps, no wobble
A handbrake takes a sharp pull on every use, and a single clamp can let it twist on the desk edge. The ZD1 uses two clamp arms spaced apart under the mounting plate, so the load is spread across the desk and the handbrake stays square to you.
Each clamp tightens with its own hand knob, so it is quick to fit to the desk and take off again.
Protects your desk
The clamp faces carry EVA pads, so the steel does not mark the top or underside of your desk when it is tightened down.
The ZD1 fits desks and tables up to 7cm thick. If you would rather mount the handbrake on a rig, browse our sim racing handbrakes and racing simulator accessories.
Our expert take
"If you are buying the PXN HBS and racing at a desk, add the ZD1. The handbrake has no clamp of its own, and this is the bracket PXN made for it, with two clamps rather than one so it holds firm under a hard pull."
"Measure your desk first. It suits tops up to 7cm thick, and if you race on a rig or wheel stand with a handbrake plate you will not need it at all."
