PXN Vector X Clutch Pedal
The PXN Vector X Clutch Pedal is the load cell clutch module for the PXN Vector X Load Cell Pedals. It turns the two-pedal set into a full three-pedal setup, adding a clutch with a defined bite point for manual launches and H-pattern shifting.
Instead of a simple spring, the clutch uses a two-stage linkage and a 30kg load cell to recreate the way a real clutch builds resistance, catches at the bite point and then releases. Input is read at 24-bit resolution, the same as the Vector X throttle and brake.
It shares the carbon fibre, stainless steel and aluminium construction and the mounting pattern of the Vector X pedals, so it sits beside them as a matched part of the PXN sim racing range.
Key features
- Two-stage linkage for a realistic bite point
- 30kg load cell sensor
- Progressive three-phase force curve
- 24-bit resolution (16,777,216 steps)
- Carbon fibre, 304 stainless steel and 6061 aluminium
- Adjustable force from 0 to 30kg, plus travel, tilt and height
- Matches the Vector X construction and mounting pattern
- About 1.45kg and 74 x 198 x 253mm
A bite point you can find every time
A clutch is only useful in a sim if you can feel where it engages. The Vector X clutch uses a two-stage linkage to reproduce that bite point, so the pedal tells your foot when the drive is about to take up rather than leaving you to guess from a number on screen.
That makes standing starts repeatable. Hold the pedal at the bite point, bring the revs up and release on the lights, and the clutch behaves the same way on every launch.
Three stages of resistance
The force curve is split into three phases. The first stage has low resistance for a quick initial push, the middle stage firms up sharply to mark the bite point, and the final stage gives a defined end to the stroke at full compression.
The 30kg load cell reads the force behind each stage at 24-bit resolution, so small changes of pressure register in game. Paired with an H-pattern unit from our sim racing shifters range, it gives you a proper clutch-in, shift, clutch-out rhythm.
Built to match the Vector X pedals
The clutch is made from the same carbon fibre, 304 stainless steel and 6061 aluminium as the Vector X throttle and brake, and it uses the same mounting pattern, so all three pedals line up as one set. Pedal force adjusts from 0 to 30kg, so you can set the clutch as light or as firm as you like, and travel, pedal tilt, height and preload can be set to suit your driving position.
The clutch module weighs about 1.45kg and measures about 74 x 198 x 253mm. Browse our sim racing pedals collection for the full range of pedal sets and upgrades.
Our expert take
"If you already run the Vector X pedals and drive with an H-pattern shifter, this is the upgrade that completes the set. The two-stage linkage and three-phase force curve are aimed squarely at the bite point, which is the part of a clutch that matters most for launches and clean downshifts."
"The caveat is that it is a Vector X add-on, not a stand-alone pedal. It suits PC racers who already own the Vector X throttle and brake, or who are buying the set now, and it only earns its place if you drive H-pattern cars or practise manual launches."

Frequently asked questions
Do I need the PXN Vector X pedals to use this clutch?
Yes. The clutch is built as an add-on for the PXN Vector X Load Cell Pedals and shares their mounting pattern and construction.
I have not bought the Vector X pedals yet. What should I order?
Choose the Throttle, Brake & Clutch option on the Vector X Load Cell Pedals page, which includes this clutch with the pedal set. Buy the clutch on its own if you already own the two-pedal set.
Does the Vector X clutch work on PlayStation or Xbox?
No. The Vector X pedal system is built for PC and supports Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11.
Can I adjust how stiff the clutch feels?
Yes. PXN rates the clutch force as adjustable from 0 to 30kg, so you can make the pedal lighter or firmer. Pedal travel, tilt, height and preload also adjust to suit your driving position.
Do I need a clutch pedal for sim racing?
Not for paddle-shift cars, but a clutch is needed to drive H-pattern cars properly and helps with manual standing starts. It pairs naturally with an H-pattern shifter.
