MOZA R3 Bundle
The MOZA R3 Bundle is the cheapest honest way into direct drive force feedback, and it arrives complete rather than as a base you build around. This listing is the PC version, pairing the R3 wheelbase with the ES Lite wheel and the SR-P Lite pedal set.
A direct drive servo motor produces 3.9Nm of peak torque from 60W, read by a 15-bit encoder and reported over USB at 1000Hz. The motor drives the steering shaft directly, so kerb strikes, weight transfer and tyre slip arrive without the slack a belt or gear set introduces. The housing is aviation grade aluminium alloy.
A table clamp is supplied, so it runs on a desk from the first session and bolts to a cockpit later through the four holes in the base. The rest of the range is in MOZA Racing.

PC version, or the Xbox and PC version
This listing is the PC version. MOZA builds the R3 in two platform versions and the choice is made at purchase rather than in software, so the one to order depends on what you race on. If an Xbox is involved at all, the MOZA R3 Bundle for Xbox and PC is the version to buy.
Both versions share the same wheelbase, the same 3.9Nm output and the same SR-P Lite pedals. What differs is the wheel supplied with them: this version ships with the ES Lite, which MOZA lists as PC only, while the Xbox version ships with the Xbox licensed ES wheel. Nothing else about the driving changes between them.
What 3.9Nm of direct drive actually gives you
Direct drive puts the rim on the motor shaft with nothing in between. There is no belt to stretch and no gear teeth to blur the signal, so what reaches your hands is the force the game calculated rather than a softened version of it. That is the reason people describe the step up as hearing the car properly for the first time.
3.9Nm is modest by direct drive standards, and at this end of the range that is the point. It resolves front axle load and kerb strikes clearly while staying controllable on a desk clamp, where a stronger base starts moving the desk instead of the wheel. When you outgrow it, the higher torque bases sit in direct drive wheelbases.
The ES Lite wheel
The ES Lite is a 280mm round rim with ISF PU grips, an aluminium alloy face plate and aluminium shift paddles, so it holds its shape under load rather than flexing against the hub. MOZA lists it as PC only, and that is the practical difference between this bundle and the Xbox one.
There are 22 programmable buttons on the face and 10 high brightness RGB rev LEDs across the top, both mapped and tuned in MOZA Pit House. Telemetry is supported, so the rev lights follow the car in the game rather than running a fixed pattern.
SR-P Lite pedals
The SR-P Lite set is a two pedal throttle and brake built in high strength steel, plate included, with a hall sensor reading the throttle without physical contact. Pedal spacing and plate height both adjust, so the set fits a desk footwell or a cockpit without modification.
Output curves and input reversal are adjustable per pedal in Pit House, which matters more than it sounds. A linear brake curve and a progressive one feel like different pedals entirely, and shaping that curve is how you find a braking point you can hit twice in a row.
Quick release, and where the R3 goes next
The wheel sits on the MOZA Quick Release, so it lifts off without tools. That matters more than the convenience, because it is what makes the R3 a starting point rather than a dead end: the rim, the pedals and the base can each be replaced on their own schedule. The ES Lite also accepts the MOZA ES/ESX Formula Wheel Mod if you want an open wheel shape without buying a new rim.
Everything is configured in MOZA Pit House on desktop or mobile: force feedback strength, damping, pedal curves, button mapping, rev light behaviour and firmware. Load cell braking is the usual next upgrade, and those sets are in sim racing pedals.

Is 3.9Nm enough torque for the MOZA R3?
For a first direct drive wheel, yes. 3.9Nm resolves kerbs and front axle load clearly while staying controllable on a desk mount, and it is a large step beyond what a gear or belt driven wheel can deliver. Drivers on a rigid cockpit chasing finer detail tend to move to a higher torque base in the same MOZA range.
Should I buy the MOZA R3 or the MOZA R5?
The R3 is the entry point at 3.9Nm with the ES Lite wheel and the SR-P Lite pedals. The MOZA R5 Bundle steps up the wheelbase torque for drivers who already know they want more force. If you are buying your first direct drive wheel and mounting it to a desk, the R3 is the one that suits the setup.
Does the MOZA R3 work on PS5?
No. MOZA does not list PlayStation support for the R3 in either version. The PC version runs on Windows 10 and 11, and the Xbox version is licensed for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as well as PC. If you race on PlayStation, the R3 is not the wheel to buy.
Can I add a clutch pedal to the MOZA R3?
Not to this pedal set. MOZA supplies the R3 with the two pedal SR-P Lite throttle and brake, and it has no clutch. Adding a clutch means moving up to a three pedal set rather than extending this one, and those sets are in sim racing pedals.
Does a MOZA shifter work with the MOZA R3?
Yes. MOZA peripherals such as the SGP sequential shifter and the HGP H-pattern shifter connect to the shifter port on the back of the R3 wheelbase rather than to the computer directly. On PC they are recognised through the base and mapped in MOZA Pit House.
What games does the MOZA R3 work with?
MOZA lists the R3 as compatible with Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing, the F1 titles, Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2.0, Project CARS, rFactor 2, Automobilista, RaceRoom, BeamNG.drive, Wreckfest, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, among others. Support is set per title by the game developer, so the list grows over time.
Do I need a cockpit, or can I use the MOZA R3 on a desk?
A desk is fine, and the supplied table clamp is designed for exactly that. 3.9Nm is low enough that a clamped desk setup stays stable, which is part of why the R3 suits a first wheel. Complete packages built around a cockpit are in racing simulator bundles if you would rather start with a rig.
Can I change the wheel on the MOZA R3 later?
Yes. The ES Lite sits on the MOZA Quick Release, so it lifts off without tools and other MOZA rims fit the same hub. You can also change the shape of the ES Lite itself: the MOZA ES/ESX Formula Wheel Mod converts it to an open wheel shape without replacing the rim.

MOZA covers the R3 bundle by component. The R3 wheelbase carries 24 months on the main body, with 12 months on the power supply and 6 months on the cable. The ES Lite steering wheel carries 12 months on the main body. The SR-P Lite pedals carry 12 months on the main body and 6 months on the cable. The table clamp and accessories are not covered.
