Logitech RS Shifter & Handbrake
This is one unit that does two jobs. Flip the switch and it is a sequential shifter. Flip it back and it is a handbrake. No tools, no rebuild, no second purchase to cover both.
Logitech builds it for the RS and PRO series, it clamps to a desk or bolts into a cockpit, and the handbrake side is a proper analogue lever rather than a button pretending to be one.
It sits in both our sim racing shifters and sim racing handbrakes ranges, because it genuinely belongs in both.

As a sequential shifter
In shifter mode the lever moves forward and back: push for one gear, pull for the next. That is how a sequential gearbox works in a touring car, a rally car or a modern race car, and it is quicker to use under pressure than reaching across a gate.
The throw is short and the return is sprung, so your hand comes back to the same place every time without looking. If you want an H-pattern gate instead, that is the RS H-Shifter, a separate unit for a different job.
As a handbrake
In handbrake mode the same lever becomes an analogue brake with 20 degrees of travel on a dual-stage spring. Analogue is the part that matters: how far you pull it is how much brake you get, so you can hold a slide rather than trigger one.
The dual-stage spring gives you a light first part of the pull and a firmer second part, which is what lets you find the bite point by feel. For rally and drifting that is the whole game. The rest of the range is in our sim racing handbrakes collection.
Switching between the two
The switch is the reason this unit exists. Logitech's wording is that you change between the sequential shifter and the handbrake at the flip of a switch, with no need for tools, and that is exactly what it is: seconds, by hand, at the unit.
So the car you are driving decides the mode. Rally stage tonight, handbrake. Touring car tomorrow, sequential. One purchase covers both instead of buying a dedicated lever for each and finding room on the desk for the one you are not using.
Tuning the feel in G HUB
Both modes are adjustable in Logitech G HUB. You can shape the response curve and change the sensitivity, so the lever can be light and quick or firm and progressive depending on what you are driving and how hard you pull.
That matters more on the handbrake side than the shifter side. A curve that suits a rally car being flicked into a hairpin is not the curve you want for a gentle drift entry, and you can change it between sessions rather than living with one setting.
Running two: a shifter and a handbrake together
One unit is one mode at a time. If you want to change gear and pull the handbrake in the same corner, you need two, and Logitech says so plainly: pair two units for a dedicated sequential shifter and handbrake.
That is why we list a two unit option on this page. Set one to shifter, one to handbrake, clamp them either side, and nothing has to be switched mid stage. If you would rather pair the handbrake with an H-pattern gate than a sequential lever, the H-Shifter and Handbrake bundle does that instead.
What it works with
Logitech lists it as compatible with its PRO series and G Series wheels. In our range that means the G PRO Wheel and the RS50.
On PC it connects straight to a USB port. On console it connects through a compatible Logitech wheelbase, so a PRO or RS50 base needs nothing extra. Logitech's Racing Adapter is only for racing with the older G Series wheels on console, and those are not wheels we carry. If you are unsure what your setup needs, call us before you order.
Mounting and build
A steel core table clamp comes in the box, so it works on a desk out of the box and does not walk around when you pull hard on it. The body also takes bolts for mounting into a cockpit if you have one.
The handle height adjusts, which is worth setting properly: a handbrake you have to reach down for costs you time. The unit is 157 mm tall and 1,625 g, rising to 359 mm at full handle height, so leave room beside the wheel for the lever to travel.

Frequently asked questions
Is it a shifter or a handbrake?
Both, one at a time. A switch on the unit changes it between a sequential shifter and an analogue handbrake, with no tools and no reassembly. You choose the mode to suit what you are driving.
Can I use it as a shifter and a handbrake at the same time?
Not with one unit. Logitech's own answer is to pair two units for a dedicated sequential shifter and handbrake, which is why we offer a two unit option here. One is set to each mode and neither has to be switched.
Does it work on Xbox or PlayStation?
Yes. On console it connects through a compatible Logitech wheelbase, so a PRO or RS50 base needs nothing extra. On PC it is a straight USB connection. Logitech only requires its Racing Adapter for racing with the older G Series wheels on console, and we do not carry those.
How much handbrake travel does it have?
20 degrees, on a dual-stage spring. The output is analogue, so the amount of brake follows how far you pull rather than switching on and off at one point.
Can I change how it feels?
Yes. The response curve and sensitivity are adjustable in Logitech G HUB, so the lever can be light and quick or firm and progressive. You can set it differently for the shifter and the handbrake.
Do I need a cockpit?
No. A steel core table clamp is included and it mounts to a desk. The body is also drilled for bolting into a sim racing cockpit if you build one later.
What if I want an H-pattern gearbox instead?
That is the RS H-Shifter, a separate seven speed plus reverse gated shifter. If you want a gated gearbox and a handbrake together, the H-Shifter and Handbrake bundle pairs the two.
What warranty does it come with?
A two year Logitech manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. We look after warranty claims for you as the Australian dealer, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply on top of the manufacturer warranty.
