GGD Xbox Flight Simulator Package
The GGD Xbox Flight Simulator Package brings a complete, purpose-built flight setup to Xbox Series X|S. Most serious flight gear is PC-only, which has left console flyers stuck with a standard controller, but this rig gives Xbox pilots a real yoke, HOTAS and rudder pedals that work natively on console. It is built on a Trak Racer TR40S flight cockpit and a full Turtle Beach VelocityOne control set, all officially licensed for Xbox, and it plays on PC too.
It pairs two complete control systems. The VelocityOne Flight yoke and throttle covers general aviation and airliners, while the VelocityOne HOTAS, a flight stick and dual throttle, handles air and space combat, and a set of VelocityOne rudder pedals adds true rudder control for both. Every control uses hall-effect sensors for smooth, wear-free precision, and it all mounts solidly to a pre-drilled aluminium cockpit.
This is the base package, and it is fully upgradeable. Everything listed below is your starting point. On this page you can upgrade the cockpit, controls and other components, or add extras, to build the exact Xbox flight simulator you want. Start here, then step up individual parts whenever you are ready.

How the GGD Xbox Flight Simulator Package compares to other flight simulator bundles
Xbox flyers have long been the afterthought. Most flight gear, and almost every HOTAS, is built for PC only, so console pilots have been stuck flying with a standard controller while PC players get real yokes and sticks. This package changes that with a complete setup that is officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S.
It also gives you both control styles. The VelocityOne Flight yoke and throttle is set up for general aviation and airliners, the VelocityOne HOTAS is built for fast jets and space, and the rudder pedals serve both with proper foot control. It is a genuine do-everything flight setup on console, not a single-discipline kit, and it plays on PC as well.
It all sits on a purpose-built Trak Racer flight cockpit, so nothing shifts on your desk mid-flight. Explore the full flight simulator packages range to compare, or browse the Turtle Beach VelocityOne line-up on its own.
Real flight controls on Xbox
The setup PC flyers have enjoyed for years, now licensed for console.
For too long, flying on Xbox meant a standard controller while PC pilots used real hardware. This package fixes that, with a yoke, a HOTAS and rudder pedals all officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S. You connect over USB and fly with proper controls, no PC required, and the same rig works on PC when you want it.
It also covers both control styles. A yoke and throttle is how you fly general aviation and airliners, while a HOTAS stick and throttle is how you fly fast jets and space, so you can fly a Cessna or an airliner one night and jump into combat the next. The VelocityOne rudder pedals tie it together with real foot control of yaw and toe brakes for taxi, crosswind landings and precise manoeuvres.
VelocityOne Flight: built for aviators
A true-to-life yoke and modular throttle for general aviation and airliners.
The VelocityOne Flight system leads with a 180 degree yoke that moves like the real thing, with integrated rudder controls and precision magnetic sensors. Its modular throttle quadrant adds dual lever and vernier controls that suit both a light single and a heavy multi-engine jet, with an integrated trim wheel for fine pitch adjustment.
A full-colour status display sits on the base, showing real-time alerts and key cockpit, navigation and engine details so you keep your eyes on the panel. With 12 analog axes, two point-of-view switches and 18 mappable buttons, you have full command of an aircraft without diving into menus.
VelocityOne HOTAS: combat and space
A modular HOTAS with the depth for fast jets, helicopters and spacecraft.
The VelocityOne HOTAS pairs the Flightstick II and a Dual Throttle for 73 programmable inputs and 15 axes across the stick and throttle. The stick uses 16-bit hall-effect sensors for high-resolution precision, with three levels of adjustable tension and an ambidextrous grip, while the dual throttle runs independent or locked levers with swappable detents and adjustable resistance.
A full-colour display gives instant tuning and real-time flight data, with haptic feedback and LED throttle indicators for tactile cues. On Xbox it is at home in Microsoft Flight Simulator, War Thunder, Elite Dangerous and Star Wars Squadrons, so your combat and space flying gets the same quality of control as your civil aviation.
A stable Trak Racer cockpit, built to grow
A purpose-built flight cockpit needs a frame that stays put, and the TR40S delivers.
The Trak Racer TR40S flight cockpit is built from 40 x 40mm anodised aluminium profile with pre-drilled mounts for the yoke, throttle, HOTAS and rudder, so every control locks down solidly and nothing shifts under a firm pull. A reclining seat on a dual-lock slider and an included floor mat give you a stable, comfortable base for long flights.
Because the profile is modular and pre-drilled, the platform grows with you. Add or upgrade controls, or extend the cockpit down the track, and the frame takes it in its stride.
Our expert take
“Most people walk into our Dandenong showroom thinking they have to choose between a yoke for airliners or a stick for combat. What we love about this package is that it hands you both, on a proper Trak Racer flight cockpit that does not budge. One night you are shooting an ILS approach in an airliner, the next you are flying combat in War Thunder or exploring the galaxy in Elite Dangerous, all from the same seat and all on an Xbox. It is the most versatile console flight starter we put together.”
- Tested and recommended by the team at Gamer Gear Direct's Melbourne sim racing showroom.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I fly with this package on Xbox?
A lot. On Xbox the VelocityOne Flight yoke and throttle is ideal for general aviation and airliners in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, while the VelocityOne HOTAS handles fast jets and space in War Thunder, Elite Dangerous and Star Wars Squadrons. The rudder pedals add proper yaw control for both.
Does this package work on Xbox?
Yes. Every control in this package, the yoke and throttle, the HOTAS and the rudder pedals, is officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S and connects directly to the console over USB, with no PC or adapter needed. The same controls also work on Windows 10 and 11 PCs if you want to fly on both. Note that the HOTAS requires an Xbox Series X|S console and that Xbox Cloud Gaming is not supported.
Why does it include both a yoke and a flight stick?
Because they suit different aircraft. A yoke and throttle quadrant is how you fly general aviation and airliners, while a HOTAS stick and throttle is how you fly fast jets and spacecraft. Including both means one rig covers civil aviation and combat, rather than locking you into a single style of flying.
Do I still need the rudder pedals if the yoke has rudder controls?
The yoke has integrated rudder controls for convenience, but dedicated pedals give you far finer, more natural control of yaw and independent toe brakes. They make a real difference for crosswind landings, taxiing and precise combat flying, which is why the pedals are included as standard.
Which flight simulators does it support?
On Xbox it supports the major flight titles that work with flight controllers, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, War Thunder, Elite Dangerous and Star Wars Squadrons. On PC the same gear opens up a wider library, including X-Plane, DCS World, Star Citizen and Ace Combat. Each control is fully mappable, so you can set it up to suit whatever you fly.
Does it come with a monitor or screen?
No. The package does not include a monitor or monitor stand, so you can pair it with the screen you prefer. Monitor stands are available separately as an upgrade.
Can I change or upgrade the inclusions?
Yes. This is a base package and it is fully upgradeable. On this page you can upgrade the cockpit, controls and other components, or add extras, to build the exact flight simulator you want.
