Description

GGD F1 Racing Simulator Package (Stage 2)

The GGD F1 Racing Simulator Package (Stage 2) steps the single-seater experience up where it counts: torque and braking. It keeps the authentic, official F1-licensed Playseat Formula Instinct driving position and formula-style MOZA KS Pro wheel, and adds a stronger 12Nm R12 V2 direct drive base with a 200kg load cell CRP2 brake.

The R12 V2 delivers 12Nm of direct drive through a 21-bit encoder with intelligent temperature control, a clear step up in feedback over an entry base. The CRP2 pedals bring a 200kg load cell brake, so you brake by pressure for repeatable, muscle-memory stops. The two-pedal, throttle-and-brake layout keeps the cockpit true to a single-seater, with paddle shifting on the KS Pro wheel.

This is the base package, and it is fully upgradeable. Everything listed below is your starting point. On this page you can upgrade the wheel, pedals, wheelbase and other components, or add extras, to build the exact F1 simulator you want. Start here, then step up individual parts whenever you are ready.

GGD F1 Racing Simulator Package (Stage 2)

  • MOZA CRP2 load cell pedals with a 200kg brake sensor for precise, repeatable braking
  • MOZA KS Pro formula-style wheel with forged carbon magnetic paddles and a 2.99-inch HD display
  • 12 top-mounted RGB rev lights on the wheel for clear, real-time shift timing
  • Two-pedal, throttle-and-brake layout matched to single-seater racing
  • Paddle-shift control with no shifter or clutch to clutter the cockpit, just like a real F1 car
  • Reclined single-seater seating with a fully adjustable pedal deck and X-Adapt wheel deck
  • Trak Racer floor mat included for a finished, stable setup
  • Fully upgradeable base package, backed by manufacturer warranties and Gamer Gear Direct's local Australian support

How the GGD F1 Racing Simulator Package (Stage 2) compares to other racing simulator bundles

Plenty of F1 rigs pair a good seat with an entry wheelbase and basic pedals, which leaves feedback vague and braking hard to judge. In open-wheel racing, where corner entry is everything, that holds you back.

This package steps both up. The R12 V2 puts out 12Nm of direct drive for sharper, more detailed feedback, and the CRP2 pedals read up to 200kg through a load cell, so you brake by pressure for consistent, repeatable stops. It all sits in a genuine single-seater position with a formula-style paddle-shift wheel, not a GT layout adapted for the job.

It sits a clear step above the entry F1 rig, which runs a 9Nm base and a 100kg load cell pedal set. When you want the flagship wheel, the full 21Nm and a premium cockpit, the top of the line steps up again. Compare the full F1 Simulator Packages range to find your fit.

GGD F1 Racing Simulator Package (Stage 2)

A step up in torque and braking

The two upgrades in this package are the ones you feel most: the wheelbase and the pedals.

The MOZA R12 V2 drives the wheel with 12Nm of direct drive through a 21-bit encoder, with MOZA's NexGen 4.0 algorithm and intelligent temperature control for sharp, consistent feedback over long stints. It is a meaningful step over an entry base, with the strength to communicate grip and weight transfer clearly.

The CRP2 pedals lead with a 200kg load cell brake on an aerospace aluminium body, with tool-free feel adjustment. Because a load cell reads pressure rather than travel, you brake by force the way you do in a real car, which makes trail braking and corner entry far more repeatable.

GGD F1 Racing Simulator Package (Stage 2)

An authentic F1 driving position

The seating is what makes this an F1 simulator, not a rig with a formula wheel bolted on.

The Playseat Formula Instinct is an official F1-licensed cockpit, with a reclined, feet-up driving position verified by real F1 drivers. You sit low with your legs stretched ahead of you, which changes how you feel weight transfer and brake pressure compared with an upright rig.

It adjusts to fit you, with seat rails, a patented pedal deck that sets angle, height and length, and the X-Adapt quick-release wheel deck, across a driver range of 120 to 220cm.

GGD F1 Racing Simulator Package (Stage 2)

Formula controls: the MOZA KS Pro wheel

The wheel is set up the way a single-seater is driven, with paddle shifting and race data at a glance.

The MOZA KS Pro is a compact formula-style wheel with forged carbon magnetic paddles, a 2.99-inch HD telemetry display and 12 top-mounted RGB rev lights, so you shift on the paddles and read your revs at a glance. It runs as one ecosystem with the R12 V2 and tunes in MOZA Pit House.

With paddle shifting and a two-pedal layout, there is no shifter or clutch to clutter the cockpit, keeping the footwell and controls true to a real F1 car.

GGD F1 Racing Simulator Package (Stage 2)

Our expert take

“Stage 2 is the sweet spot in the F1 line for most drivers. On the rig at our Dandenong showroom, the jump to 12Nm and the 200kg CRP2 load cell brake is exactly where you feel the difference over the entry package, especially on corner entry. Keep the authentic Formula Instinct position and the KS Pro formula wheel on top, and it is a genuinely capable single-seater setup.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the Stage 1 F1 package?

Both use the same official Playseat Formula Instinct cockpit and the KS Pro formula wheel. Stage 2 steps up the wheelbase to the 12Nm R12 V2 and the pedals to the 200kg load cell CRP2, where the entry package runs a 9Nm base and a 100kg load cell pedal set.

What is the benefit of the load cell brake?

A load cell brake measures the pressure you apply rather than how far the pedal moves, so you brake by force, just like in a real car. That makes your braking far more consistent and repeatable, which is where lap time is won on corner entry.

Is 12Nm enough direct drive?

Yes. For the vast majority of drivers, 12Nm delivers strong, detailed feedback with plenty of headroom for fast cars. When you want more, the wheelbase is the easy part to upgrade later without changing the rest of the rig.

Why is there no shifter or clutch?

Single-seaters shift on paddles and use two pedals, so this package matches that. The KS Pro wheel's magnetic paddles handle the gears, and the CRP2 pedals give you throttle and brake, keeping the cockpit authentic to F1.

Will everything work together out of the box?

Yes. The MOZA components run as one ecosystem and tune in MOZA Pit House, and the Playseat Formula Instinct is direct-drive ready with adjustable mounts. You assemble the rig, connect to your PC, and drive.

What platform does this package work on?

This package is built for PC and supports 40-plus titles including iRacing, Assetto Corsa and the F1 series. If you race on console, look for our Formula packages with Xbox or PlayStation in the title, which are configured for those platforms.

Can I change or upgrade the inclusions?

Yes. This is a base package and it is fully upgradeable. On this page you can upgrade the wheel, pedals, wheelbase and other components, or add extras, to build the exact F1 simulator you want.
