Why inverted feels different
With conventional pedals your foot pushes forward and slightly down against a plate on the floor. With inverted pedals your foot pushes forward and slightly up into a face hanging above, which loads your leg the way a real formula car does.
The practical benefits are heel position and floor space. Your heel rests on the floor rather than on a pedal tray, and the area under the pedals is clear, which matters in a tight cockpit.
Inverted only
This mount does inverted and nothing else. That focus is why it is the most accessible way into the format, and it is the right choice if you have already decided that suspended pedals are what you want.
If you would rather keep the option of a conventional position, the universal inverted pedal system covers inverted, formula and GT in one bracket and ships with a pedal plate and footrest.
Getting the position right
Inverted pedals need more setup thought than conventional ones because the mounting height determines everything. Too high and you are reaching up with your toes; too low and you lose the advantage entirely.
Set it with your seat in its final position and your heels on the floor where they will actually rest.
