Trak Racer TR80S Flight Simulator Cockpit
The gap between a racing cockpit and a flight cockpit is not the frame. It is the seat, the pedal geometry and where your hands sit, and the TR80S Flight closes all three without asking you to buy a second rig.
The TR80S Flight is Trak Racer's answer: the 80 x 40mm thicker-walled aluminium extrusion frame, supplied as a complete flight bundle with the reclining Trak Racer Flight Seat, a four-way adjustable pedal mount ready for rudder pedals, and left and right side mounts for your stick and throttle.
It sits with the rest of the flight simulator cockpits we stock, and the frame underneath is the same one that carries the TR80S Racing Simulator.

A seat built for sitting still
Flight is a static activity. The forces on your body are close to nil, so a seat that grips you hard achieves nothing, and a seat that holds you comfortably upright for two hours achieves everything.

That is the reasoning behind the reclining Flight Seat, and the reason the shoulders are cut away rather than bolstered. Side-mounted stick and throttle need your arms free at exactly the height a racing shell puts material.
Where your hands and feet go
Left and right side mounts come with the cockpit, so stick and throttle sit at your sides rather than on a desk. Trak Racer list support across Thrustmaster across the HOTAS Warthog and Warthog dual throttles, the T.Flight HOTAS One and 4, the T.16000M and FCS, the TCA Quadrant, Officer and Sidestick Airbus editions and the TWCS throttle; Logitech and Saitek including the X52, X52 Professional and X56, the Throttle Quadrant and the Extreme 3D Pro; Honeycomb Bravo; Virpil VPC MongoosT-50; VKB Gunfighter III; VirtualFly TQ3 and TQ6 Plus; and Hori.
Rudder pedals mount to the pedal baseplate and adjust on the slider. The named sets are the Logitech Flight Rudder Pedals and Heavy Equipment set, the Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals and TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals, and the Virpil Ace.
Yoke support covers the Honeycomb Aeronautical Alpha Flight Controls and the Logitech Flight Yoke System, both by clamp, plus the Logitech Flight Switch, Multi and Instrument panels, Logitech Heavy Equipment and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight, with the Alpha and Logitech yoke fitting by clamp. A centre flight stick mount is available separately if you fly something that wants the stick between your knees rather than at your side.
A heavier frame in the same floor space
The TR80S sits on 80 x 40mm thicker-walled extrusion with heavy-duty brackets at the uprights, and it occupies the same floor area as the TR40S while carrying considerably more material.
For flight that buys stability under a yoke you are pulling against and a stick you are working hard, without asking for more room. In a study or a spare bedroom that combination is difficult to beat.
If you race on it as well, the wheelbase rating is 0 to 16Nm, which covers the middle of the direct drive market rather than the top of it.
Screens and motion
The monitor stand is optional, with integrated single through to quad configurations, plus freestanding stands for larger arrays.
The TR80S Flight is motion ready, with a motion base required such as the Trak Racer TR Move platform, which runs D-BOX actuators. The TR120S V2 and TR160 flight cockpits take motion direct-fit without that base.
Motion is worth discussing before you buy the screens rather than after. A panel bolted to a moving platform moves with it, and one on its own legs does not. The stands are in the sim racing monitor stands.

What makes this different to the racing version?
Same frame, different bundle. This one includes the reclining Trak Racer Flight Seat, a rudder-ready pedal mount and left and right control side mounts. The TR80S Racing Simulator ships without a seat.
Which rudder pedals fit?
Logitech, Thrustmaster and Virpil sets are named by Trak Racer, and they bolt straight to the pedal baseplate with slider adjustment for reach and angle.
Which yokes fit?
Honeycomb and Logitech yokes fit by clamp, and Logitech panels and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne are supported. The full list is on this page.
Can I race on it too?
Yes. The wheelbase rating is 0 to 16Nm, and the racing version of this frame ships the formula and GT hybrid pedal plate as standard.
Is a monitor included?
No. Rudder pedals, yokes, HOTAS controls, monitors and stands are all chosen separately. The stands are in the sim racing monitor stands.
