Trak Racer TR120S V2 Flight Simulator Cockpit
If motion is anywhere in your plans, the frame decision is made before anything else. The TR120S V2 Flight is the cheapest cockpit Trak Racer build that takes a motion platform directly, with no separate motion base underneath it.
The TR120S V2 Flight is Trak Racer's answer: the 120 x 40mm thicker-walled aluminium extrusion frame, supplied as a complete flight bundle with the reclining Trak Racer Flight Seat, a four-way adjustable pedal mount ready for rudder pedals, and left and right side mounts for your stick and throttle.
It sits with the rest of the flight simulator cockpits we stock, and the frame underneath is the same one that carries the TR120S V2 Racing Simulator.
Key features
- Complete flight bundle with the reclining Trak Racer Flight Seat

- Direct-fit, no separate motion base required
A seat built for sitting still
On a frame that can carry a motion platform, the seat stops being a comfort item and becomes part of the system. You want to be held and reclined rather than wedged in place.
The reclining Flight Seat is the component that makes long legs bearable, and on a motion-capable frame it does a second job: a reclined, supported body is far more comfortable when the platform is actually moving.
HOTAS cut-outs in the shoulders keep your arms free for side-mounted stick and throttle, which is where a racing bucket would be putting bolster.
Controls that stay put when the platform moves
Left and right side mounts are included for stick and throttle, which matters more on a motion-capable frame: anything not properly located will make itself known the moment the platform tilts. Support spans Thrustmaster across the HOTAS Warthog and Warthog dual throttles, the T.Flight HOTAS One and 4, the T.16000M and FCS, the TCA Quadrant, Officer and Sidestick Airbus editions and the TWCS throttle; Logitech and Saitek including the X52, X52 Professional and X56, the Throttle Quadrant and the Extreme 3D Pro; Honeycomb Bravo; Virpil VPC MongoosT-50; VKB Gunfighter III; VirtualFly TQ3 and TQ6 Plus; and Hori.
Rudder pedals bolt to the pedal baseplate and adjust on the slider. Trak Racer name the Logitech Flight Rudder Pedals and Heavy Equipment set, the Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals and TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals, and the Virpil Ace.
Yoke support covers the Honeycomb Aeronautical Alpha Flight Controls and the Logitech Flight Yoke System, both by clamp, plus the Logitech Flight Switch, Multi and Instrument panels, Logitech Heavy Equipment and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight, with two of those fitting by clamp. A centre flight stick mount is available separately if you fly something that wants the stick between your knees rather than at your side.
The frame that takes motion directly
Motion is where flight simulation and racing diverge most sharply. A motion platform under a flight cockpit is transformative in a way it simply is not for most racing, because pitch and roll are the aircraft's primary language.
The TR120S V2 is the cheapest frame in the range that accepts a motion platform direct-fit, with no separate motion base underneath it. The TR40S, TR80S and TR8 Pro all need one, such as the Trak Racer TR Move platform, which runs D-BOX actuators.
The frame is the same 120 x 40mm thicker-walled extrusion that carries the racing version, seat slider rails are included as standard, and the wheelbase rating is 0 to 30Nm and above if you race on it as well.
Screens and motion
Monitor mounting is optional, with integrated single through to quad stands and freestanding options up to quad for larger arrays.
This is the significant one. The TR120S V2 Flight takes a motion platform direct-fit, with no separate motion base required. The TR40S, TR80S and TR8 Pro flight cockpits all need a base such as the Trak Racer TR Move platform, which is a real cost and a different installation.
Plan screens and motion together rather than in sequence. A panel attached to a moving platform travels with it, which is either exactly what you want or exactly what you do not. The stands are in the sim racing monitor stands.
Our expert take
"On a motion-capable frame the seat stops being a comfort item and becomes part of the system. You want to be held and reclined rather than wedged, and that is precisely what the Flight Seat is shaped to do."
"If motion is anywhere in your five-year plan, buy this frame or the TR160 and nothing below them. Direct-fit versus base-required is the difference between adding a platform later and rebuilding the rig around one."

Frequently asked questions
What makes this different to the racing version?
The frame is shared. This version bundles the reclining Trak Racer Flight Seat, a rudder-ready pedal mount and left and right control side mounts. The TR120S V2 Racing Simulator ships without a seat.
Which rudder pedals fit?
Five sets are named, spanning Logitech, Thrustmaster and Virpil. They mount to the pedal baseplate with slider adjustment.
Which yokes fit?
Honeycomb Alpha and Logitech Flight Yoke System by clamp, plus Logitech panels and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne.
Can I race on it too?
Yes, and it is rated 0 to 30Nm and above, the top torque tier in the range.
Is a monitor included?
No. Rudder pedals, yokes, HOTAS gear, monitors and stands are all separate purchases. See the sim racing monitor stands.
