Trak Racer TR Series GT Pro Fibreglass Racing Seat, Gloss Grey
Grey is the finish for people who do not want their rig to look like a race car. The same GT shell, the same fibreglass, in a high-gloss grey that reads closer to a road car interior and sits far more quietly in a living room than gloss black does.
Underneath the finish it is the TR Series GT Pro: an ultra-rigid fibreglass shell rated to 200kg, with a wider seat opening and shallower bolsters than a rally shape, and pre-installed high-density formed padding.
It fits drivers from small to extra large, up to roughly a 46 inch waist, which is the widest fit range in the racing seats.

A shell that does not shout
Sim rigs live in real rooms. A gloss black bucket seat with a rig around it looks like equipment; the same seat in grey looks like furniture that happens to be a seat, and in a shared space that difference decides whether the rig stays in the lounge or goes to the garage.
The grey also hides less. Gloss black shows every fingerprint and every speck of dust under a downlight, which is why it photographs beautifully and lives harder. Grey is the more forgiving finish day to day.
If you want the darker look, the TR Series GT Pro in Gloss Black is the identical seat in high-gloss black.
GT profile, wider fit
The GT shape is the more forgiving of the two bucket profiles. Shallower bolsters and a wider opening mean less climbing over the sides and less pressure on the hips, which makes it the better choice for most drivers who are not specifically chasing a rally feel.
Trak Racer rate the fit from small through extra large, up to approximately a 46 inch waist. That is wider than the 44 inch ceiling on most sim seats and the reason this shell suits a broader range of people.
The 200kg load rating is the other figure worth knowing, and it is unusual for the category to publish one at all.
Fibreglass under the gloss
The shell is ultra-rigid fibreglass, which is what stops the seat flexing under a strong wheelbase. Nothing moves under load, so what you feel through the wheel is the car rather than the furniture.
Padding is pre-installed high-density formed foam, double stitched in high-strength nylon with reinforcement at the high-contact points. Those are the bolster edges you slide across getting in and out, and they are where a sim seat fails first.
The coating is wear-resistant, UV-resistant and easy to clean, which matters if the rig sits near a window or gets shared.
Mounting and fit
This is a side-mount seat, fixing at the sides of the shell rather than underneath. Check your frame takes side-mount brackets before ordering, because side and bottom mounting are not interchangeable. Sliders are sold separately and sit in the seat mounts and sliders.
Compatible frames include the tube frames, the RS6, TR8 PRO, TRX, Porsche 91XTR and Carbon Fibre TRX, and the extrusion frames, the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK, plus other branded rigs. Supported motion systems include D-BOX, Sigma Integrale and Qubic Systems, subject to your cockpit and platform configuration.
If you want deeper bolsters, the RS GT Rally-Pro is the rally profile. If you want a backrest that reclines, the RE2 seats are the bottom-mount alternative.
